rj_508on 27/07/2017 17:31This place is a gem. Great location on the wharf in Boston's financial district. Clean, good service, great location, lots of space and very comfortable.
Expect to pay a lot in taxes. My bill was an extra $70 on $359.
Has potential but be careful where you are placed
andygY1985BUon 26/07/2017 19:04The good bits, the location is great and the views, in the right room are great, the staff are pretty good too.
We arrived tired, at the time advised which was before the check in time, so bags were left and we were treated well.
We went off to explore Boston and returned for what was an essential rest, to listen to a residents room being worked on either a bathroom removal or kitchen. Phoned reception they couldn't do anything except it would stop at 5-6pm.
So watch which room you get seems the block away from the reception and bar is a mixture of hotel and residential.
Very disappointed
MsVictoriaon 26/07/2017 12:37Stayed in a corner king suite. Good layout, lots of space, lots of seating in the lounge area. Full-size dining table, separate bedroom and large bathroom with spa bath. Nice views from three sides up and down the water. Toiletries and amenities in the bathroom are good. I found all members of staff to be friendly although not always massively efficient.
It was a little disappointing that there was no swimming pool, no spa. Apart from the restaurant/bar there was nothing to do.
However, for the high cost the standards and attention to detail just wasn't there.
Toilet roll holder was broken
Dimmer switch in bathroom broken
Stains on chairs
Soap dish has a chunk missing
Alarm clock was set for 6am from the previous person so I got woken up
Cup ring marks on furniture
Stains on carpet
Bed side reading light doesn't work
Ordered eggs Benedict for breakfast on my first morning and it was cold and the eggs over cooked so was sent back.
On my second morning I had to wait over 20 minutes before I served even though there was only half a dozen tables with people at them. Despite only ordering an omelette and a coffee the coffee took 15 mins to arrive and the omelette took 27 mins and was over cooked and contained tinned mushrooms. No condiments are provided or offered and the waitresses just seem to disappear. After tracking down some salt the salt cellar was blocked and couldn't be used and then I had to wait again while the waitress found another one.
Bathroom window was broken and couldn't be closed so while trying to have a relaxing bath all I could hear was the 4 people on the patio below chatting.
Arranged a late checkout with reception for 3pm and at 12:15pm I have someone knocking on the door asking why I haven't checked out.
For the price I paid for this room I'm afraid I wouldn't return based on my experience.
Park your car and explore on foot
provo1221on 25/07/2017 20:01If you want to be on the water, have great views and plenty of dining options at your fingertips, this is the place for you. Our room was on the 3rd floor,exceptionally clean, quiet, and with great views of the harbor. We walked the waterfront walkway a must from the hotel towards the Aquarium. We dined in the North End and enjoyed our 10 minute stroll back to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure, definitely get a room with water view.
A true neighborhood gem
Sandy Kon 25/07/2017 03:01A hidden gem near the north end. Who knew such an oasis is hidden so close to downtown. The customer focused staff including valets take your car and your luggage and make things easy for you from the morning you arrive. The public areas are more than enough including the Harbor Walk.
