Every Detail Was Pleasantly and Profesionally Handled
vainvton 30/06/2017 00:17We held our 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner and weekend with about 20 relatives and friends at the Inn. The food was outstanding and the ability to gather and reminisce on the large wrap-around porch made the two evenings special. The proprietors gave everyone personalized assistance in figuring out what to do during the day in this beautiful part of New York. It was simply like living together in a very large home.
Finally Found My Great-Grandmother's Dumplings!
ChannahAbrahamon 23/05/2017 17:56My German great-grandmother was an exceptional cook, and I especially remember her sauerbraten with red cabbage and a dumpling she called kedufelglace, which I'm spelling phonetically, my German being non-existent. Over the decades when I've ordered sauerbraten in German restaurants, it's been served with little pasta-like dumplings that resemble Italian gnocci. So, I was amazed to see a large potato dumpling on my plate the first time I ate at the Bavarian Manor. My server confirmed with the chef that this was, in fact, a kedufelglace. I've been back since and will go again and again to this beautiful inn with its delicious food, a slice of Bavarian Alps in the Catskills with the smells and taste of my great-grandmother's kitchen.
Palm Sunday for Lunch
kizzy86on 18/04/2017 02:59We were a party of 9. The owners are wonderful. Stan the owner is also the chef. Several of us had Rouladen. It was very good but not quite as good as my aunt who visits us from Germany once a year. I usually get their Schnitzel which is very delicious. The place is very authentic looking inside. Good Service

'LIKE COMING HOME FOR A FAMILY REUNION'
F. George Won 24/01/2017 21:10Staying at The Bavarian Manor Country Inn and Restaurant actually felt like 'coming home to A Family Reunion!' My wife and I first experienced the Inn with a fall of 2016 visit to their outstanding restaurant. Bavarian Manor had been recommended by the owners of a local campground and the food was excellent!
Based upon out initial experience, we decided to plan a winter sojourn for a few days - staying at the Inn and sampling additional items from the extensive menu. Living up to it's name, the Bavarian Manor offers a number of German Specialties. Chef and Co-Owner Stan Oldakowski operates the kitchen while his wife and Co-Owner Suzanne oversees the various operations of the Inn and is literally 'The Face of Country Hospitality!'
BUT - - - This critique is not about the Restaurant - - - the food and service speaks for itself! We suggest that you try it with a personal visit - - - you will not be disappointed!
If you would like to experience what good, old fashioned, genuine hospitality is all about, spend a few days at the Bavarian Manor Inn located in Purling, New York!
We arrived on a Wednesday and never left the Inn until our departure following breakfast on Saturday morning. Talk about 'Rest and Relaxation! Be prepared for a very pleasant - very low key - experience! (i.e. - If you need something for your room, you simply leave a note on a clipboard at the reception desk. In short order you will find your request has been satisfied!) Honestly, WE FELT AS THOUGH WE WERE A PART OF THE RESIDENT FAMILY! The staff was so nice and the atmosphere must be experienced to be fully understood and appreciated.
Thank YOU Suzanne and Stan - - - We are already looking forward to our next visit! What a Wonderful Experience!!!
