Wonderful Stay
john_welton 17/08/2017 13:18We stayed 4 nights and were treated like family. The breakfasts were MUCH MORE than continental and the staff was so attentive we never had to ask for anything for the two hours we ate and socialized with friends and family. We also used dining area for dinner for the 6 of us we brought back from Angelina's and again the staff was very accommodating. Really enjoyed our extended stay following Mt Katahdin summit hike to end my AT thru hike.
Best Area Hotel Option
Mrsstaeckion 17/08/2017 12:27We recently stayed at the hotel for a family vacation. The area has limited hotel options and I'm told this is the best of the bunch. I think that the strong ratings for the hotel are relative to the area competition. Somewhat dated decor, poor bathroom shower ventilation (taking a shower creates lingering humidity in entire room), old carpets, strong pine-sol smell in hallways. Hardly our best hotel experience, but again, you're limited on area options. Strong point for the hotel is the professional, friendly, attentive staff.
Just the right fit for a base camp adventure
Sara Son 10/08/2017 03:35Clean and freshly painted rooms. Shower water pressure awesome after a day of hiking. Great staff who knows about Baxter and KWW. The continental breakfast is a cold breakfast that is a great start with easy to fill out with the grocery store of Dunkin Donuts right down the street.
Good place to stay when hanging out in Baxter Park or doing some white water rafting.
JillNH16on 08/08/2017 22:15My boyfriend and I spent two nights here on a long weekend for white water rafting and other outdoor adventures. It was clean, bed was comfortable enough, and they had extra pillows which is a plus. We didn't eat breakfast there but I stopped in one day just to grab a yogurt and it was more extensive than some reviewers had previously posted, I saw Hannaford yogurt in several flavors, english muffins, Raisin Bran and another cereal, and bananas, tea and coffee. For a continental breakfast that's more than enough for me. It was also quite, didn't hear anyone else at night. They had a refrigerator in the room as I had requested. Just with they had some sort of ventilation in the bathroom, with no fan it gets awfully steamy very quickly. But overall a good place to stay. I plan to return to hike Katahdin and I'll plan to stay here again.
my go to place for overnight business trips
Ajbrxon 03/08/2017 22:22this is the one place in the area I stay each month when in the area on business. Clean , quiet rooms. the new dry sauna room is a delight after a long day of travel of hiking in nearby Baxter state park.
