beaurtiful natural surroundings helpful and pleasant staff, great breakfast, a few KM from town itself makes for a quiet retreat, very enjoyable, if not using own car there are
plenty of route taxis to towns and beaches. well worth the effort to stay here.

The Jamaican Inclusive breakfast to me, was a welcoming I did not expect!

excellent!!! I had never tried Ackee before or seen it, so as the 'Bread Fruit" which in fact, does taste like breadfruit! :D

Spacious and Quiet

Hidden amongst the trees in Ackee House, daily pressures vanish. Our large room included a kitchen sink and fridge. The microwave was not yet setup. The deck, with a table and 2 chairs, overlooked the forest and was well sheltered from the nighttime downpour. Lots of light switches but don't know what they went to. The room was clean, beds were large and comfortable, but this operator had a hard time getting hot water. The problem was reported and solved by the 2nd night. Screens were needed for window in Room 1. Excellent food, lovely pool and deck with a hint of a bay view.

Overall Good

This was our first visit and the first impression was great. Check in was a breeze and we were shown to our rooms rather quickly. Some rooms had hot water some did, some had AC some did not. Wonderful views and the property is in a perfect location. The grounds keepers were so friendly and so willing to help. We were a group of 13 so we were able to share rooms so everyone could enjoy. The food was great. The chef and servers were exceptional. We had dinner the night we arrived and Stacy who I am going to describe as the most patient person I have ever met in this industry was amazing. There was a tour guide there with her group and I could not believe someone could be so rude. She was condescending and even had the nerve to walk into the kitchen without the proper attire when as she pleased. From speaking to some of the folks there she knows the manager so she does this when she comes. She spoke down to the people there and was just rude. If this is how the owners/managers allow their friends to treat people shame on them. This woman was so rude we had to speak to her to tell her what she was doing was not right. She was rude to us as well but we reported her behavior to the front desk. She was even smoking in the dining area which was not allowed I don't think but she did it anyway. Stacy kept her cool, kept on smiling and served us with a smile and served the other tables who waited patiently as well. Rooms are desperately in need of renovation but they were clean. One draw back there were roaches in the room so that was not fun. Great job to the other servers Mark and Wayne at breakfast. Front desk staff were awesome!! Overall good experience and absolutely YES!!! I would visit again. Amazing staff and they are all an asset to this establishment and that is why I would return. To the owners please take the time and do some renovations.

Desperately in need of a makeover.

We travel as birders which means we have to get to the more remote spots which took us to this part of the island. Let me start by saying that the staff here are wonderful and couldn't have been nicer. The grounds are also very lush and beautiful and the food was great. That is about it though. The accommodation itself is poor, tatty and horribly overpriced. I would find an alternative if you can.
