Super cool for a layover at MUC
PetrGrishinon 05/08/2017 06:32I travel via München a lot, and this hotel i think is one of the best options around the MUC airport. It's a 15min drive away (a EUR 10 shuttle bus takes you back there every hour), but it is absolutely worth it, - feels like you can squeeze another trip into your trip. There is no air traffic noise; there is no hassle and no crowds; Freising is a interesting small historic town, well-preserved but not sleepy/boring to just walk around, and to explore it the Bayerischer Hof hotel is the right choice - it's small, has its old identity, and perfectly situated right in the center. Three things i liked best about it - very helpful staff (many thanks to Regina who contacted me right after i made the booking - chain hotels can't even dream of this level of service - to explain that my special request of a quiet room is best filled if we change the type of the room); super clean room recently after renovation; and good breakfast with proper service - not the faceless robots of chain hotels but people, helpful and friendly. Finally, for those who like running or just walking in the nature, - there are very long trails along both banks of the Isar river, all covered by shadowy forrest, good to workout even when it's real summer, they are within 5mins reach from the hotel, - ask locals for an underground passage under the railway to get there. Mein Morgenlauf made a perfect start to my date. Absolute value for money!
Close to airport. Perfect Location in nice town. Good breakfast. Could be 4* hotel.
DmitryStPetersburgon 02/08/2017 19:51This hotel is wonderfully located in the center of Freising and Freising itself is a nice town close to Munich airport (15 minutes driving).
Hotel room looks brand new (staid here in July 2017) and is absolutely comfortable. Room size was ok, clean, enough light. The bathroom could be a bit bigger even though acceptable. The minor point was the lack of air condition in the room. Bed was comfortable, good quality bed linen.
Reception staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Wi-fi connection was a little bit too slow and not perfectly stable.
Parking is located in the hotel backyard and costs 7 EUR/night.
Breakfast starts at 6:30 a.m. – could be useful information for some travelers as I was not able to find this information prior to the arrival. Breakfast was good, breakfast room a little bit too dark at my taste but there are some tables outside in the patio.
All in all I could easily recommend this hotel for everyone and with high probability would stay here again.
Great stay by MUC airport

Why pay the high price for the airport on property hotels when you can stay in a very nice property such as this one in a picturesque town like Freising for 1/3 of the cost?
The Staff was very friendly and the rooms were on the smaller size but were more than adequate for a quick overnight before flying back to the States.
Don't hesitate to stay here and enjoy the market place and the oldest brewery in the world up on the hill.
Great hotel, convenient to airport, in center of town

The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the airport, but you'd never know you are that close as air noise is not at all a problem. The hotel is on the square with city hall and several shops / restaurants.
The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet.
Breakfast (included) was a good continental offering, with some hot choices, including make-your-own waffles.

Fionapinkon 20/06/2017 17:06Stayed here in November 2016 and it was the obvious choice for our second visit.
Placed within the pretty little Main Street this hotel offers tradition, comfort and the ability to do many things in the area. The rooms are well appointed and clean, the food is enough to start the day and the restaurant offering evening meals is truly delicious!
The staff are helpful and welcoming. We had to ask for assistance planning a trip to Garmisch and this was done easily for us.
I wouldn't even consider another hotel when in the area unless this one was booked up!
