excellent stay
donaldu668on 25/05/2017 23:22Had an enjoyable stay for a night in Anderson SC. For starters, we dealt with Charlie at the front desk, both over the phone and in person. A more professional and gracious host could not be found. The property was going through a major renovation so it was not at it's best. Our room had recently been completed, but there were still a couple of little things left to do, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Finally, Baymont needs to change their name. The have no suites here, so shouldn't they just be called Baymont Inn?
Ok but needs work
chris ton 23/05/2017 20:45I arrived and noticed they were obviously doing work on the hotel evidenced by carpet laid out in the parking lot. There had been no notification of any work on the website or on my booking but I did not have issues with noise. There appeared to only be a handful of rooms occupied as well.
The exterior of the hotel is attractive enough but could use some pressure washing and cleanup of the landscaping. The room was decent but the furnishings were tired and dated and worn. The beds were too soft but everything in the room worked.
The room I requested (non-smoking King upstairs away from the highway) was not what they showed in their system so they initially put me in a smoking King downstairs next to the highway. After a few tries I finally asked for any non-smoking room upstairs away from the highway and was given a room with 2 beds.
My biggest complaint would be with the bathroom which was in serious need of repainting and cleaning. The ceiling and walls had significant mildew stains. The shower did the job so I made sure to keep the door open and shower quickly to avoid exposure.
I did not try the breakfast so I have no comments on that. Overall the room was usable but I would only return if there were no other reasonable options available in the area.

Knee deep shower water
donaldbY8740PSon 17/05/2017 22:04The first night the shower was stopped up. I reported it to the lady in the office the next morning. She made notes. That night the shower was still stopped up. I told her again the next morning at checkout. She told me she even told the maintenance man personally hope they fixed it.
We saw several roaches in bathroom. Non smoking room...
