dianesW8143VGon 27/08/2017 13:00The room was dusty and dirty with cobwebs in the corners. Trash under nightstand from previous guests. The A/C unit/box was filthy, hair in and around sink and ice bucket. I didn't plan to use the ice bucket but seeing hair in it, was nauseating. My key would work sometimes, the desk clerk gave me new keys with pretty much same result. She said the battery in door lock may need to be changed. Ok, change it. There were dead insects on bathroom floor along with dirt in the corners. I never walked barefoot on the carpet. I was visiting my son and wasn't aware when I made my reservation that this was a prime viewing area for the eclipse. The price gouging was incredible to make such a profit.
The police station was across the street so that was a bonus, I felt my car was safer being parked so close. Overall, the hotel is in desperate need of major cleaning and updating. The housekeeping staff should be made to actually clean each room thoroughly each day.

Rae Lynn Fon 26/08/2017 07:01Well I'm glad it was cheap. The saying, you get what you pay for is so true. I feel like I should sleep in something other than pajamas like a full fledged outfit. It's obvious this room had not been occupied for some time. There was dust every where. I'm glad I'm just here for a few hours. The lobby area had a "old smell to it. Good thing the front desk lady was somewhat nice. I wouldn't suggest this place too anyone. I have been in way better 2.5 starred hotels. This is more like a 2 on the high end

Eric Eon 25/08/2017 17:40This was a terrible visit to this hotel. After checking in late we had to get replacement towels (hair in each) and replacement linen (makeup and face print in the pillow cases). Since we checked in around 1:00am we did not notice that the restroom had feces on the wall next to the toilet roll dispenser. We were outraged and I try to get a refund... did not happen. I had booked (and paid in advance) for two nights and they did NOT let me out of the next night's fee. I asked for them to thoroughly clean the room and they did give a small discount. After coming back to the room 10 hours later (the night clerk was on duty) we found the room in EXACTLY the condition we left it in... feces and all!! Totally disgusting. After complaining AGAIN to the clerk, at which she explained that she was the only one on duty and cannot leave the front desk, I proceed back to the room and take a video of the offence. After showing it to the front desk clerk she comes up with cleaning solution and cleans the wall. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!! LAST STAY HERE (I have family in Clarksville and visit three times a year.)

They found us a room when another hotel cancelled our reservation without notifying us.We came for the eclipse and were a long way from home without a room. They even matched the price of our previous reservation. It is nice to know there are helpful, kind people out there. I would stay here again. The hotel is new and clean.
