Stuck in a tiny room
mindys2on 25/08/2017 04:25This was the first stop on our trip to Mackinaw City. Loved the town of Gaylord and this place was centrally located. We were put in a tiny room!! The bed barely fit with the nightstands on either side of the bed. Everytime we moved you were reminder of how cramped it was. The breakfast was nothing to talk about. The usual carb overload!!
Stay at Baymont

Where's the breakfast?
RonMex74on 21/08/2017 12:27Well first off not much of a breakfast! I know it's free and maybe I shouldn't expect much, but it's basically cereal and toast. There was not one piece of fruit in the whole place.
The room looked nice at first glance, but smelled like someone smoked in it. It was clean though. Some of the workmanship inside was pretty bad. Not a good reflection on a large corporation like Wyndham. Our a/c made our room feel damp kinda uncomfortable. Wouldn't be my first choice in the future.
Building and customer service issues
Faith Hon 21/08/2017 01:01We are Wyndham Gold members and so I have a lot of experiences with this hotel chain. This one is among the worst. 1. toilet was blocked when we got there (fixed); 2. Screen was broken (not fixed); 3. Door to pool was ajar (security hazard); 4. several men in pool drinking alcohol (one emptied cup into pool) made us uncomfortable swimming with our child; 5. smoking areas right outside both entrances difficult for those allergic (several better areas were nearby but had no containers for ashes); 6. Concerns expressed to front desk were sometimes addressed, sometimes handled in a cold and rude manner, 7. No hot tub; 8. Staff was generally friendly and hard working but the constant yelling of "housekeeping!!" down the hall at 8:45 am on a Sunday was not appreciated. On a positive note, our room did not have the fleas that were mentioned in a previous post. Lucky us! I see there are several other hotels in the area, I will try one of them next time!
