Dirty Hotel

The room and bathroom needed updates and cleaning. The rugs had dust around all the baseboards. The air conditioner was loud and there was a nasty smell of mildew in the room when the fan was on. The room had coffee but no coffee maker. Beds were uncomfortable. The front of the hotel needed cleaning. There was a bench outside but there was roaches all around it and when I got up there was a roach on it. There was also an broken down washing machine sitting in the front of the hotel.

The entire stay was very good to excellent with the exception of the staff not being familiar with my request of issuing a copy of my bill prior to check out. After much persistence and recommendation that she contact a fellow employee to assist her in knowing how to retrieve my bill and print out.

Great neighborhood, clean room, comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Friendly staff. Good value for what you get. Breakfast is just so- so.

1st room had a water leak at the AC changed rooms, minor inconvenience. Disappointing that the computer I net was not working . Other than that I would stay again.

I frequently and exclusively choose the Baymont Inn for its great value, security, level of cleanliness, and comfort. This quality is consistently delivered by professional, gracious, and very personable staff.

It is a quiet hotel even when at capacity, and though it is value priced, it is NOT a party hotel with transient,frightened, jumpy staff which makes for a restful sleep and the absence of other challenges I experienced at some of the other hotels of comparable price available in the area.

I always find the rooms are comfortable in space and cleanliness. There are large windows in each room with blackout curtains that can be fully opened allowing entrance of natural light as I desired. The even number rooms have exterior windows facing a wooded area while the odd number rooms have exterior windows facing the hotel parking lot. I liked the rooms with windows facing the woods because of the view of trees.

Decaf and regular coffee as well as condiments are available in each room along with a coffee pot for single use. The microwave and refridgerator are housed neatly in an open cabinet. I found them in good working order in each of the rooms I stayed. A table is present in the standard rooms which I used as a work space because of power strips being available. A desk was also available in the suites but I stayed in standard rooms. The wifi connectivity was consistent with adequate speed for streaming movies and for work, and I successfully used it for both purposes. There was an ironing board and iron in the room which for whatever reason is often absent in many value priced hotels as of late.

The beds are made with full sets of sheets and multiple pillows. The coverlets are laundrable, khaki colored blankets which are soft and clean unlike the darkly colored bulky comforters concealing varying states of uncleanliness I encountered in other hotels at times.

All of the rooms offer exclusive access via interior entrance doors. Security cameras are visible in the hallways. The hallways are colorfully carpeted and clean.

The parking lot is highly visible from the hotel and Veterans Parkway. There is ample space for parking in immediate proximity to the hotel entrance as well as the covered drive up area for unloading. There is parking on the side of the hotel for Semi trucks but it was seldom occupied during my stays.

Restaurants "The Rusty Pig", "Subway", "Izolas" (a country cafe rated at number 1 in Hinesville at the time of this writing), "El Cazora", and "Korea House" (which also has high ratings) are all located within safe walking distance of the hotel. Veterans Parkway has a sidewalk and I frequently saw residents from a nearby subdivision jogging and walking. Dominos and Pappa John's will deliver here on late nights which is a positive sign. A general merchandise store and ATM is located next door to the property.

The lobby offered continuous access to coffee and condiments during my stays. Hot Chocolate packs and tea bags were also available. In the late afternoon, cookies were available from a closed bakery display case. Breakfast offered a good variety. The staff were friendly and helpful during the times I got coffee or breakfast.
