We accidentally booked a Friday and Saturday night to the comfort inn next door to this hotel. We contacted the owner within the hour to let them know we only wanted the Saturday night. The owner which is the same owner of the Baymont inn refused to reimburse us the Friday night, but said he would give us that day a year from now, since he couldn't take it off his calendar . We asked for it in writing, to which this owner never gave us. So our day comes to stay in May 2017 for our anniversary and we show up, only to be told our room was cancelled because we didn't show for that Friday, which we already cancelled prior with this owner. He stole the money. I advise not to book a room here for two nights because if you don't show up, they automatically cancel your next night without warning !!! So, I walk next door and paid $170 for one night, Saturday to the Baymont Inn, and let them know what just happened. Little did we know, until we looked up this place, that the owner of the Comfort Inn was also the Baymont owner, we tried to leave a review and he deleted it. Be aware, he lied also by not giving us our room in advance for next year, as we tried calling and he was not available. So our one night in New Buffalo Mich., cost us $380.00 . This Baymont did get us a room, but I found a blob of what looked like human snot on the mattress. I immediately told the staff down stairs, who then set us up in another room. The headboards in both rooms hadn't been dusted in what looked like months. Also, they look to be renovating the rooms, which drywall dust could be seen in both our rooms . We also had the toilet back up before we left . I did notice on other reviews that seems to be the norm there. The owner of these two hotels is not out to make your experience a pleasant one .. We suggest your go across the street to the Fairfield or Holiday and enjoy your night(s) there... Worth the money.

great stay and excellent customer service

i got a king suite and Jeanette was very helpful and accommodating. the room was clean. breakfast was great. i highly recommend that hotel and will stay there next time i am in the area. thanks Jeanette!! i really appreciated the hospitality at that hotel from all the staff there.

Needs repair

The hotel appears to be updating. There are new carpets in the hall and bedroom. The carpets have a strong odor. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was well stocked. The bathroom appears to have been updated but some of the work needed repair. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy. The pool looked very nice. It was economical to stay there.

Not A Pleasant Stay

This was the worst experience! I wrote a review last year but apparently it was so bad that it was not published!
Horrible Rooms! Horrible Management! Horrible, horrible, horrible! There was a bachelor party going on in the room above us. We did not get any sleep because the floors are paper thin! When I complained to the owner of this place, nobody cared! We had booked three rooms for the entire weekend. One of the guests refused to even stay because the room was so dirty. I usually don't say anything negative. My philosophy is that if you don't have anything nice to say then you should say nothing. But in this case, I can't just be quiet.

One night only

AC did not work in the room. Stains on the furniture. The floor was creaking every time we took a step. I felt bad for the guests below us. There was a dog barking in the room across from ours. I am happy we only stayed one night.
