The Baymont Inn looks better than other Baymonts. I had a couple problems with my room. This morning, it was the two roaches crawling on the walls. One by the sink and the other by the desk. I mentioned them to the clerk at check-out. She said thank you for the information but didn't seem concerned. The first morning I was there, I went to use the shampoo and conditioner provided, only to find they were both conditioner - even though the bottles were different colors. I thought it was a fluke. I threw them both away. Housekeeping provided two more bottles of conditioner for the next morning. The desk area has four electrical outlets. One being used for the desk lamp. One for the microwave. One for the refrigerator. That leaves only one for your phone charger or your laptop, but not both. Internet speeds were speeds were slow and you have to watch a commercial before you can sign on. The breakfast area looked very nice, but it was a very meager offering of toast, pastries, frozen waffles to toast, and cereal.

Great things about this hotel: PRICE! Nobody in pool or teenie hot tub, so we had it all to ourselves; Directly across the interstate from the outlet malls, so totally convenient to come and go; friendly helpful staff; decent beds; good coffee; large frig in room.
Reasons to balk: Rooms in need of updo; bathrooms wayyyy tiny, breakfast only oatmeal, dry cereal, one pastry choice or french toast to heat, teenie weenie apples; room sleeps four but only one reg and one decaf coffee.

The shower drain did not work properly and we stood in our shower water. Our friend's headboard broke off & hit the wife's arm.
Other than that the staff was very friendly and helpful with extra towels & forgotten toothbrushes.

Called at noon day of travel to confirm accommodations, did not get a rollaway bed as promised for our 5th guest. Asked for blankets and pillows to make a pallet on the floor for our 5th guest and was told by front desk they would have to see if they had any extra!?? Liquor bottles and trash in corner by window when we got to our room. Hair on sink area and towel in bathroom. Bed sheets looked unwashed. Stayed at a Baymont several years ago and seemed to be good qualit back then. This one may be the exception or thing are just bad these days with this chain-not sure but won't risk it at another for $175+ a night!

Good location right off of I-35. Old hotel not up to Baymont's usual standards. Pool is in the lobby for everyone to watch you. Breakfast was pathetic.
