You cant beat it with location
sonidainmilanon 11/06/2017 20:30Small and charming hotel in a lively quarter. The hotel is indeed in a historical building, but the rooms could use a bit of refresh... staff is friendly and if you are lucky, enjoy a drink in the cute patio!
Good experience, but very noisy
Paola Lon 06/06/2017 17:27This hotel is pretty near the metro station (Barbes-Rechechouart) and has some shops and caffees nearby, which is good. However, the neighbouhood itself is a little dirty and noisy.
Because it is so close to the train station, you can hear it running from 4 am to about 10 pm, which is bad for someone who wishes for a good night sleep. Despite of it, it is very near the Sacre Coeur church (walking distance) so if you are a tourist, I would still recomend it.
Breakfast is awful and don't worth the 5 euros per person you pay. It comes with 2 pieces of bread, some butter and coffee... you can have it for less in the streets or in the supermarket.
Rooms are good sized and bathroom is adorable (actually, the rooms itself are the best point in this hotel). Our room had a lovely balcony!
COULD BE BETTER
Yaw Con 25/05/2017 10:06Having come to Paris from Milan with my friend on an early morning flight, we missed this hotel for another one of the same name down the Champ Des'elysee. We finally arrived at the hotel only to be told that we couldn't check in as check in time was yet up.No problem. we asked to wait around, the attendant told us off bluntly. He however accepted to keep our luggage.finally checked in after whiling away time exploring the Arc de Triomphe.
The hotel is located in a very cosmopolitan area of France. The space and interior is not big and has everything one needs to have in a hotel basically the essentials. One notable thing absent in the room we slept in was a Wardrobe. This made keeping our stuff very difficult as we always had to open and close our rather stuffed bulky luggage. The Wifi in the hotel is the worst i've seen in all places i've slept in Europe. And you need to even take a ticket for it at the reception and it lasts for 24 hours!!! In Europe!!! The elevator also accommodates only one person plus luggage. But hey we couldn't complain much per the rate we were paying.
All in All , i'd recommend this place if you are a backpacker and hoping to pass some time in cosmopolitan Paris. Not so ideal for large family trips.
And oh..its closer to the Sacre Coeur , so in case you feeling like passing by...its a 11 mins walk from there.
Decent place to take rest at night
Rosalin Don 18/05/2017 23:32We landed at this place ( in 2010 and TripAdvisor is not allowing me to choose an earlier date) by consulting with the Tourist information officials at Paris Gare Du Nord. The place was located at walking distance to all major tourist attractions and was a budget hotel ! First look will make you feel where you have landed. Too small. Elevator could accommodate 2-3 people max. Rooms was very small and so was the bathroom , bed linens were clean but not swanky! Free Wi-Fi was available only at the reception area. Not well recommended for stay with family...but who cares...there's so kuch of things to see and do in Paris, so we didn't mind coming back to this place just for a good night sleep. And yes, the reception in charge did speak to us in English ( broken) and was courteous enough as well 👍
