What People are saying

Great Value

Smily1234on 30/09/2016 04:52

The hotel overall was decent. The price was great. The staff is helpful. Rooms are nice and clean with fresh smelling linen. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Baytown. Rooms seem recently updated. Loved the gym. WiFi was super fast and easy to connect to.

Older Hotel in Great Shape

It is clear that this hotel is well maintained. Carpeting and furnishings all appeared to be very new, and our room was HUGE. We booked a room through Priceline for a very busy night when all the other hotels in the area were filled to capacity. Our price with tax was $71, and we were put in a non-smoking mini king suite. The bathroom was fairly small and outdated compared to the rest of our room, but the water pressure was great. The room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the pool looked huge and in great condition, although we did not have a chance to use it. This is what I would consider a cross between an economy and mid-range hotel- no frills in the room, yet a microwave, fridge, and flat-screen TV were provided. The shampoo consists of packets of Breck, no conditioner, cheap soaps, no pad of paper, the sheets are not soft (although the bed was comfortable enough to compensate), and the comforter was one of the thin patterned types you will find in cheap motels, such as Motel 6. The fitness center consisted of an elliptical, bike, treadmill, and one set of hand weights, all in new condition-although there are French doors that separate the fitness room from the breakfast area, so you may have an audience for your workout. The breakfast was meager- just cereal or waffle, but better than nothing. Our friends were staying at a different hotel nearby- $100 more per night and no breakfast included! For the money you save here, you can afford to go buy breakfast if you prefer. The lobby of the hotel is nice...kind of reminded me of old Vegas; although having the desk attendant stationed behind what I assume was bulletproof glass, is not very comforting. The area seemed ok, located next to a refinery and just off the highway, but our Uber driver suggested we stay closer to Garth if we are ever back in the area. He said the refinery workers have had tools stolen out of their cars in the area. We only stayed here one night. I would suggest this hotel for a short stay, but would stay somewhere closer to the shopping/restaurants on Garth if staying any longer than a couple nights. P.S. I highly recommend eating at El Toro for some awesome Mexican food!

I agree with the positive reviews.

This was an unexpected surprise. The major hotels off the interstate were filled to capacity. I searched Trip Advisor and found this hotel off the beaten path (about five miles from the interstate) but definitely worth the drive. It was kind of hard to get to at night due to to the 180 I had to make at Rollingbrook Drive but after that it was fine. Upon entering the twenty foot high ceiling lobby you can't help but notice the dual grand staircase in the center. The night clerk was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The room was unusually large for a single bed unit. Wifi worked fine, flat screen television with plenty of channels. Room was clean. It's obvious that it's not a new hotel but just as telling is that the management is trying hard to keep up with maintaining it. Sure there was some things that keep this hotel in the economy class of lodging by little knickknack things (some paint touch ups, peeling laminate on the door) but all in all better than average. Note: no coffee maker in rooms so be advised.

I will stay here again when I come back through Baytown.

Clean & mid-lower range pricing

The room was clean and just the right size, hallways smelled great & fresh. I couldn’t smell the smoking rooms from the others, a great thing!
The continental breakfast was disappointing. All there was available was 2 kinds of cereals and a Texas shaped waffle machine. Juices & coffee are offered, of course… I have stayed at many hotels that offer a continental breakfast and usually get at least some fruit, and bagels or bread to toast. We skipped eating the breakfast there the next morning and got McD’s down the street, I have to have my protein & fruit for breakfast! This hotel is fine otherwise, just kinda hard to get to since the freeway access road is only one way, I have to drive up and around to get back, but that isn’t their fault. I have stayed here many times, the staff are friendly & courteous and the price is about mid to lower range. I say mid range only because of the breakfast could’ve been a tad better.
