What People are saying

nice and sweet

Youhan Yon 02/08/2016 10:56

it was great to stay there close to Vatican city by bus or 20 min walk. Very clean place and nice stuffs but for breakfast you have to go to some where else :-(.
The room was small but modern and clean plus bathroom was stunning with a good shower. there is small elevator to take you upstairs and very clean.
TV has many channels but only two English. WiFi was great.

Highly Advise against staying here!!

Well- I like yourself read these reviews and think- it can't be that bad.. but it can..
The "room" not hotel is decent..
There is no Front Desk
No on call service- we had an emergency with the couple next to our room where the key didn't work- and not one number they gave us- did anyone pick up.. we called the emergency line "24 hour" line and no one picked up.. We waited out in the middle of the street for 1 hour, with another couple staying in the room next to ours.
We then had to wait for the cleaners the next day to let them know- She was nice- but didn't speak english.. the manager/ owner called- and told me it was the keyholder not the key, however the management on site couldn't even open the door with our current key.. We even had someone who lives in this condo try to use our key- and they couldn't.. The owner has no regard for the well being of the guests, and told us she didn't care nor could she do something about us being locked out- and hopes that it doesn't happen again tonight- but if it doesn't fear not- just ring the bells of the other units- someone will let you in!! (and the people who live here- don't speak even a little english) just some food for thought..

Oh sorry last comment- Bed and Breakfest means you have to have BREAKFAST- they don't even have a kitchen! What BDB really means is Big Damn Basic.. Its big room, Damned if they care, and basic, because thats the area its in:)

Beware- you can't say I didn't tell you:)

On a good note: they do have a nice restaurant across the road and if you have 2-3 hours you can too enjoy the dining experience.. THEY DONT SPEAK ENGLISH.. but good Italian food.

25 minute walk to the vatican- Its not located in vatican as advertised on hotels.com

Have fun:)

Unusual boutique hotel

We stayed for a week in the Van Gogh room. The room was small but modern and clean. The bathroom was stunning with a good shower. The room has a strange floor, there is three levels.... This may seems strange but it's easy to trip up on the floor. On top of this the bed is more like a futon, so makes getting in and out of bed quite tricky. Wifi is great. TV has many channels but only two English ones.
The rooms are on the 2nd floor of a residential building which is accessed via stairs or a mini lift. The rooms are secure and there is a safety deposit box in the room too.
If you like walking, this hotel is for you. It's a good 20 minute walk to the Vatican and a good 15 minute to the nearest metro station.
The room servicing was great and although there is not a receptionist it's easy to get in touch with a member of staff. Mariano was very helpful and gave us plenty of local advice to make our stay most pleasant.
Although double glazed the room is quite noisy from the traffic, is recommend ear plugs.
I'd stay again at this property but only with good walking shoes :)

Fabulous!

A little bit off the grid but don't let that stop you staying in this wonderful guest house!
If you are fit and healthy you can easily walk to most attractions within Rome. The Vatican is 20 minutes down the road and the Colleseum took us about 40 minutes.
Stunning wall art, spectacular cleaning service provided every day and everything you can't fit in your hand luggage is easily accessible. (Hair dryer, towels, dressing gown, slippers, toiletries.)
Highley reccomended this place!

Very friendly and helpfull staff. you need bus 32 to go 5 stop to Ottaviano Metro station/Vatican city or 15 min walk. for breakfast they give coupon which you can exchange for fresh food in 2 breakfast bar almoast anytime. Renovated excellent interior. Shower drains is slow as like all old building. we take the 2 bedroom suite. They also have small kitchenate inside. washroom door was not locking from inside. Not an issue from our side. Full maid service daily. 50 Euro Taxi fare from Ciampino airport. Oveall its very good.
