Doganay again

We stayed there in a beginning of July, first time in high season. Was nice to see place and same people again. We arrived about midnight and check-in was very quick.
We stayed in block A - room was spacey, one double and one single bed, balcony, safe, mini-fridge fill up daily. Room was clean daily.
Hotel has one big pool with slides, quiet pool and children pool. Few bars and restaurants, during high season was sometimes a queue in main restaurant and difficult to find a table, but during day time you can eat in main restaurant, pool restaurant and beach restaurant. Food - very good and tasty - not listen previous opinions - many choices, love omelette for breakfast.
Entertainment - evening show every night at 9pm, mini disco, disco at beach, foam party etc.. everyone can find something interesting.
Beach - private just across the road access via tunnel - plenty free sunbeds at any time.
A big thank you to Ferhat in main restaurant - always smiling and happy to help. Also guys in coffee house - unfortunately dont know their names but they always nice.
Hotel is about 120km away from airport so if you dont want to spent 3+ hours in shuttle bus - book speedy shuttle bus with max 4 stops - still takes about 2 hours but you saving some times.
Overall thank you Beach Club Doganay for another great holiday.

Late check in reception very good 15 of us to check in. Not so good points:- Rooms basic cleaning basic mini fridges not restocked nor tea coffee milk restocked either & queing for food was pretty bad especially evening meals. Didn't spend much time in the room so didn't bother us 😀 fantastic holiday 😎 something for everyone food wise, guest relations reserved a table every evening so we could all dine together at night as we was a large party & difficult trying to find clean tables all staff very helpful & polite pool n slides had loads of fun spent most if our week there. Beach is beautiful apart from pebbles. Recommend the hammam was amazing bartar the price also water sports good too. Catamaran trip was amazing booked in town centre for a really good price bus stops outside hotel every 10 mins to go to town either way only 2 lira. We had a brilliant holiday. thankyou to the animation team always polite friendly & fun

We had a fantastic 7 nights here all inclusive from 13th June with our daughters 13&5 years old.Although only one member of staff spoke fluent english(the lovely lady at guest relations)every member of staff spoke a little basic english and we actually had quite a laugh with them,The kids club girls were absolutely fantastic and my daughter was really quite sad when it was time for us to leave.Engin&Vibro were fantastic too always had huge smiles on their faces and always made time to have a little chat wth the guests.The staff in general were a credit to the hotel and they made our holiday really.Us english were definately the minority but we met a couple of other english famalies who made it even more enjoyable.The rooms are not 5* in my opinion they are way too basic however for the amount of time we spent in them it was fine.As people have mentioned in other reviews our minibar was also never refilled nor was the coffee&sugar.However theres always drinks available no matter what time of day/night it is,The hotel on the other hand was amazing,i could tell that when we first arrived and i went to use the very posh toilets :).The pools were all lovely,the slides kept our older daughter busy while the little one was at the kids club.The little funfair was only open for a couple of hours a day but it really is a asset to the hotel.As was the mini disco,even almost a month on,i here my little girl chanting mini disco mini disco hey hey hey and i have even had to order a mini disco cd online so she can sing and dance to soco baci vera!!The food although not much change from day to day was really good,There really was always something for everyone,the pool bar serves burgers chips and pieces of battered chicken 11-5pm and lovely waffles&nutella between 3-5pm.The cafe bar served little cakes and biscuits from 11-5 also.ice cream is on at tea time each night which is a bonus but you can also buy ice creams at lollies poolside or in the shop for literally 3-5 lira,The kids buffet area was a great idea.The staff eat with the guests which is a really good idea and on our last night Sirem from the kids club joined us,this made my daughters holiday as she had grown so attached to her over the course of the holiday,Ignore the negative reviews and give it a go,make your own mind up because at the end of the day they cant please everyone,

Very nice hotel for teh money we payed. Animation crew outstanding, Erhan, Engin, Bora(Vibro) and the others worked hard all week to keep us guests busy and happy! Several Pool areas and very nice beach. You go through a tunnel to reach the beach so don´t have to cross any roads. Good food and lots to choose from. Don´t miss that there are several restaurants. Beds could be better, the ones in our room was very hard. Cleaning ok, better than average. Some nice shops on the premises and others outside the hotel. The ones on the area had fair prices, the ones outside was expensive. Close to both Konakli and Antalya for good shipping and restaurants. Cab fair to central Antalya was around 45 turkish lira. Note: If you ask the hotel to book a cab the starting fee is already 10 lira. Just go outside the hotel area and taxis will come. You can also jump on a dolmus which is much cheaper, they pass the Hotel every 10-15 minutes.

terrible holiday

We had high expectations after booking a 5 star hotel Beach Club Doganay ultra all-inclusive holiday. However, the holiday turned into a one-week nightmare from which we could not run away. We were traveling in June (8-15 June) in a group of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids. Here is a brief overview of our stay:
1. Accommodation. We were accommodated in 3 bedroom room with 1 additional bed (of a very poor quality) although we have booked a room for 4 people. The room was extremely small and not suitable for four people staying one week with 4 suitcases. After we expressed our concerns about the quality of the room we were advised that this is a standard room and there is nothing they can do. We have also asked to upgrade us to a better room, but we were told that there was no vacancy. There was no other choice just to live with that. First night the little one (8 years old) slept in the additional bed. In the morning, she woke up sick because the AC was blowing to her face all night long. Next day we turned the AC off, but it was impossible to sleep at 30 degrees Celsius. For the third night, I tried to sleep in the additional bed myself. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and clearly, it was not suitable for man weighting 100 kilos. Not only the sleeping quality was poor, but I also got sick because of AC. I had to take drugs the rest of the trip because of fever. Is this the quality of sleep you expect in 5 star hotel. No. Overall quality – very bad.



2. Food and drinks. When going to the holiday like this food is something, you look forward. You think this is going to be a time when you don’t care about the diet, when you can try different things, taste different food, fill your belly with sweets, etc. You will not get it in Beach Club Doganay.



Food was extremely bad, tasteless or even horrible. Every day there was the same variety: same type of fish was grilled everyday, which was always dry and full of bones. Everyone around would have couple of bites of that fish and push it away – horrible. For meat dishes, we had to wait at least 15 minutes in line, but the selection was poor. Wine was ok, but it would last only for some part of the dinner. There were no imported drinks at the bar – only the cheapest Turkish brands.



Our package included A la carte dinner at one of hotels restaurants. To my biggest surprise the menu in the a la carte restaurant was the same as in common dining room. It was just absolute nonsense. The food was bad, except the soup, which was fine.



Ultra all-inclusive includes mini bar in the room. Mini bar was full only the first day – it was never refilled. I went to the lobby to ask why no one refills the mini bar, so they have my a bag with couple of cans of Coca-Cola and Fanta. After feeling humiliated, I didn’t asked the same question again.



3. Sea. Sea was nice only for a first day. Later the sea was full of oil, people started coming out from the sea having black stains on their body and trying to take it off desperately – what a disaster. There were no signs explaining what happened, there were no restrictions to swim, but it was more than obvious that the water is polluted. Also I saw the staff spilling anti-bacteria chemicals to the sea, but it would not help. The beach is full hard slippery rocks and is unsafe to swim.

Overall experience is very bad. I would not recommend this hotel even for my enemy. Make yourself a favour, don’t go there, consider choosing other destination.
