No frills and slightly inconvenient

The pros: Our room was clean and adequate, and the staff was very friendly. The cons: Our room had a slightly musty smell, but after 15 or 20 minutes we didn't really notice it. Also, my husband and I were disappointed that the hotel was not easily walkable to the downtown area and that it had no Boothbay ambiance or charm. Bottom line: This is an okay place to stay with a reasonable price point, but there are no frills and nothing fancy ere.

This place was truly enjoyable. The room was clean and spacious. There was continental breakfast served daily. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the lake. Kayaks and rowboats were available. The property itself was very much off the beaten path; very secluded. Even with a full house we saw very few people. The walls to the room were thin (Lovers beware! LOL) The TV had to be a 26in mounted to the wall. The room itself was pretty dated décor-wise, but for the price it could not be beat. You are within 3-7 mins (driving) of some very nice stores and places to eat. We kinda just drove around and got lost which is always fun. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall, we can't wait to go back.

Nice room at a fair price

The Inn is about a 1/2 hour walk from the main downtown area. The views from most rooms looks out to part of a lake which is attractive and soothing. Canoes and row boats are available for free. There is a beach on the lake. Our room was clean and nice but somewhat small. The staff were all nice and helpful. We ended up staying two nights since we enjoyed the Inn and the area.

The room was huge! We could have had a really big party in there. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The staff were friendly. The room was up to date and clean and the beds were very comfortable. If you weren't going up to northern Maine we would have stayed here longer. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice stay

We stay in this hotel for 2 nights and we were pleased.
The staff is incredibly warm, helpful and friendly.
Room and toilet was very clean.
Had TV, a coffee maker, microwave and a fridge in the room as well, comfortable bad.
The only minus was the size of the bathroom - the shower was extremely small and there were no hooks or additional shelves to put clothes.
Will definitely recommend to friends and would stay there again if in an area.
