alwaystrip1on 13/08/2017 19:58Pros: nice view from balcony, spacious room
cons: the use of aircondition is charged 7 euros per night, the cooking ecquipement was in really bad shape and literally it was rather difficult to cook, no insect screens available in a region full of mosquitos, room was old and generally in bad shape.

Fab self catering apartments on the beach
Steph Ton 07/09/2016 20:37We booked this place just a few days before travelling, so was a little unsure but had seen the reviews and it seemed just like our usual holiday type except without it's own pool. But hey, it's on the beach! It is situated on the edge of Acharavi so is away from the main "strip" area, and a placement walk to it.
The room we had was a family 2-bed, so we didn't use one of the rooms, and the lounge area could probably be another bed too. Ok, it is very outdated and isn't a hard thing to do- such as pictures and light shades to be something this side of the millennium, but they are just superficial. The room itself was huge. We had a table indoors, and a table on the balcony off the main living area which looked over the restaurant next door's swimming pool which is free to use by the public. Our main bedroom was also spacious and a little balcony to take a chair in the morning to sit and get the early sun. The kitchen had all the little bits you would need- plates, bowls, cutlery, different pans, selection of sharp knives, glasses, cups etc. Yes the fridge looked well past it's best, but it worked and had a freezer section of adequate size. Also a kettle and separate coffee maker too. The bathroom is odd that the shower curtain causes the toilet to join you for a wash, but there is little they can do about this due to the low ceiling and window, and you do have to be careful about the collection of water on the floor that doesn't seem to drain away. We were fortunate to have quite fluffy towels.
On the side when we arrived was two mosquito plugs and a few refills to put in. Sadly for us we are the tastiest people around and we tried various methods. As it was so hot, and we don't like air-con, we kept the shutters shut at night but the glass door/windows open and the curtain across, then sprayed frequently too. We ate out once up at the main town area but got eaten alive, and watched people around splatting mossies during their meals, so we stuck to eating by the beach.
The owner is lovely and very helpful as the transfers had as at the wrong venue so we went south of the island and had a big issue getting to here! but he sorted it for us. The room also has sunbeds for your rooms to use on the beach and an umbrella to. we would deffo return!
