If all you need is a bed and running water, and maybe just one night, then ok, stay at this hotel - right on the beachfront. If musty and moldy smells, old furnishings, noise and poor housekeeping doesn't trouble you, then yes, do check in. The neighborhood is dodgy and the surrounding eateries nothing to be desired. Our stay was by default, and NEVER again.

Unpleasent AND Nightmare

The minute you enter the place, its a nightmare. the reception area was muddy and wet and smelled horrible. a chemical that was irritating to my eyes.

The parking space at the back is worse and very dodgy, the cables all over and that horrible smell. the rooms are humidity and dusty too. I will never return to such a place.

I was referred to 7th floor when I requested the iron. the iron room is untidy and with a sink that had drain blockage remaining on it.

Let's start with the best. Comfortable bed. Now let's go to the rest. Dirty bathroom, carpet, hallways, lifts. No Wi-Fi. Leaking dining room, no real public spaces, floor two flooded, poor quality breakfast, reception computer always on the blink. Evening bar and grill open to the elements. Two seconds walk out of the hotel, beggars approach you constantly. Welcome to Durban at it's finest.

Am not sure what is supposed to be happening here. Room was dusty and had a strange smell, bathroom was dirty with some very visible stains - taking a bath was clearly out - great shower though! The TV was not working - not important for me BUT the internet was not getting to my room - a crisis for me. Aircon worked first day only. Place a bit too noisy for me. Good breakfast. Very pleasant staff.

it is very stratigically situated and worth every cent to go there.

Overall at the time it was a good tourist attraction on the beach front.Very centrally situated for shops and restuarants.The food on offer was well prepared and melted in your mouth.Even for us staff.The other staff members were always prepared to go the extra mile for the guests.The girls on reception always smiled and nothing got them down.They had thier personal problems not at work.Overall a very happy and comfortable hotel.A magic expierence.I was there in the 90s.
