A special birthday surprise
NaSommeron 14/03/2017 14:37My loved one surprised me with this special trip to St Peter-Ording Beach Motel. It looks like an house in the Hamptons! The management focous is on comfort and easy way of life, like the surfers in Hawaii.
The hotel staff is very friendly and goes that extra mile to make your stay unforgettable! Especially Sandra and Steffie shall be named, their passion is to give the guests the feeling they are more than welcome! They help with any request from the guests!
The rooms are very clean! We had a look into the Mini suite ( very spacey with a, in half cut Mini Cooper as a bar!). The suites have the bedroom in the upper level and are equipped with 2 flatscreen tv's. Everything in the minibar is in the price included! You also have a chance to drive a Mini Cooper for a few hours. Just register at the reception!!!
The restaurant diike has delicious cuisine and the service was first class!
The only little problem is on monday and tuesday when the ONO Bar is closed, then you don't have a chance to eat in the restaurant because every table is occupied! We found out to late that we could have ordered and take our food to the room......(nobody told us at the restaurant).
The ONO bar serves food Wednesday thru Sunday (a variety of burgers, club sandwiches, salad and pasta)! Please put sweet potatos fries on your menu!!
The cocktails are phenomenal! The bartender Torben can mix anything your heart desires!
All in all it was a perfect little escape trip( which I would like to do more often!), to bad you can't decide spontaneously to drive to St Peter-Ording BeachMotel, due to total sell out till November............. So preplan early and book an escape to the BeachMotel!
Great hotel for a weekend get away
Rikkkeon 21/09/2016 12:22Nicely situated motel close to the beach, with a super friendly and service minded staff and a great breakfast buffet. Not sure why they call them selves a motel - as they are offering all the ammenties and more that you would expect when staying in a hotel.
THE place to stay and relax when in SPO
Wibke Hon 26/08/2016 22:38The Beach Motel has the perfect location for every beach / ocean-enthusiast. You're literally right behind the dyke and can walk to the beach in 2 minutes. You don't need to be part of the kite-surfer or surfer scene to stay at the Beach Motel SPO. It's this cool, wonderfully relaxed hotel which puts you at ease the minute you step on the porch. The rooms, the lobby, the restaurant and the bar are all decorated in a laid-back, very cool style and reflect the surrounding, e.g. surf-board as decoration in the room, at the wall behind the reception. You can put your bare feet in the sand underneath some of the restaurant tables, take your morning coffee outside and enjoy the large hammock or beanbags from fatboy.
Breakfast is available until noon which really helps to avoid the queues which you usually encounter in other hotels when they are fully booked. The breakfast buffet offers a lot more than you would probably expect for that price plus great self-service coffee machines, wide range of teas, juices etc.
The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and service-oriented - be it at the front desk, the breakfast room, the bar or the restaurant Diike ,which by the way offers delicious, local food and wonderful friendly service. Make sure you reserve a table in advance as it is usually packed.
Parking is available for only 4EUR per day which is a bargain given the location.
We will certainly return to the Beach Motel SPO. It was love at first sight !
A trendy hotel - for everyone
Andy Bon 20/07/2016 15:50Sankt Peter-Ording is a beautiful location, with amazing vistas, a stunning (enormous) beach and as always with Germany, some really great restaurants. We stayed there before, but it was our first time at the Beach Motel - it won't be our last.
The hotel has a strong surfing theme, with fun/interesting decor throughout and genuinely lovely/helpful people who made us feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely, spacious, quiet and bright with all the modern amenities you would expect (and some you wouldn't) - they really have paid attention to the little things.
The breakfast buffet is more than acceptable, and the bar stocks premium products. There is also a truly excellent restaurant attached to the hotel that you will need to book for, as well as the one that is part of the hotel (but we didn't eat there).
In short - it's a great place for couples & families and the ideal base to explore from. It's always busy, so book well in advance. A top floor beach view may be nice, but certainly not essential. We had a standard room which was more than big enough for our needs.
Pretty, easy going motel right at the dyke
Philo_on_the_goon 15/06/2016 18:45We spent an extended weekend with the entire family at the beach motel. Since we were a large group, we had to be a little flexible with the rooms. So some of us changed their rooms once or twice. However, the Beach Motel team was always very friendly, helpful and clear about the changes and the local offers.
Breakfast was very good. You have a good choice of food (vegetarian, vegan and gluten free as well). The bar in the evening is easy going but they still can improve on the drinks.
The rooms are nice and clean. You always have a beach feeling even when spending a rainy day at the motel. The size of the rooms can vary a lot and so do the features that come with them.
The management and staff is always friendly and helpful and welcomes big families with small children and people traveling with dogs.
