Truly beachfront. One of my favorite places to stay in Carlsbad. Clean, inviting, friendly. A real treat. Wouldn't hesitate on staying here again, especially for a special occasion. We rented 2 rooms, one for us and one for our teenage kids. It was a "holiday treat" for us.

Quiet and peaceful getaway, perfect for couples. The staff is very professional and treats you like family. Beach access is well worth it. Beachfront rooms provide one of a kind views. A few bonus items can be found in some of the rooms.

Just spent the weekend on a quick getaway and found this gem! From your first step into the lobby you feel welcomed. Great staff and even better location right on the beach! Huge ocean front and ocean view rooms were perfect for relaxing on the balcony and forget about everything else. Excellent amenities in the rooms, fridge, wet-bar, pillow menu - they will even set up chairs and umbrellas on the beach for you if you'd like! My only complaint that I have is the noisy air conditioners in the room - it was pretty loud during the night, but worked great (We even heard the couple at the table next to us at breakfast saying the same thing about their room AC). This did not ruin our stay by any means, just could be kind of annoying at times - good thing the sound of the waves helped drown out the sound!
Great location close to Carlsbad Village - plenty of places to eat, shop, browse nearby.
Although we were only there for one night, can't say enough how great this place is...we will be back!

Clem, very well appointed, great helpful staff. Free WiFi and parking. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Even had queen/king sized pillows in a variety of softness, instead of those standard sized pillows, really appreciated that. Will come back again for sure.

This is our 4th visit to this hotel - and we've never been disappointed. The rooms are huge and spotless. The buffet breakfast was not as good this time with mostly packaged pastry but not the hotel's fault. They'll be redoing the kitchen soon and will be better than ever. We found it hard to leave the room because the pounding waves kept drawing us back... the surf seems to wipe out all stress. Wonderful break from the city life.
