Good central location
Lauren Ron 03/07/2017 18:39This historic place is charming but was the worst sleep I've ever had at a hotel. We stayed here for a wedding in Oswego. The mattress was the hardest surface imaginable. My husband and I almost tried sleeping on the floor to get more comfortable. The pillows were just as hard. I don't even know how more people are not complaining about this because they were unbearable.
Great hotel
Randi Mon 11/06/2017 03:11When I found out I needed to stay overnight in Oswego I looked at all the hotels online and the Beacon had the most reasonable price. I am in Oswego a lot and have been intrigued by the hotel because I remember when it was the Knights of Columbus. The hotel is beautifully renovated. The decor is really nice. The common room is beautifully appointed with coffee available all the time. The continental breakfast was better than I expected. Our room was small but nice. We never felt cramped. I love the furnishings. Our room was on the street level on Bridge St but the noise from traffic was not a problem. I would recommend this hotel over one of the chains. It is quiet and elegant. I would definitely stay here again.
Charming hotel right in town
NewYorkTexon 08/06/2017 22:22Stayed there 1 night while on a driving trip. Converted service club building well restored. Room was small but functional. Reasonably priced. Walking distance to the water. We loved the river walk. Small parking lot at the side of the building. The manager Julie is very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was limited but the pastries were excellent.
Boutique Hotel!
Naturalee0900on 07/06/2017 03:19Highly recommended. Very nice decor and spacious gracious common area. Comfortable bed. Charming Room 5 faces the quiet yard in the back. It is far enough away from the center of town to be away from any college chaos but still only a few short blocks to the main intersection and to the canal. Made my brief stay in Oswego very sweet. I would stay here again.
