Nicely appointed Inn close to town

Except for the airplane noise, the inn is located in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distances to shopping, restaurants and the waterfront esplanade. Our suite was nicely appointed with a nice seating area and fireplace.
A lovely, restful B&B

My husband and I went to Sidney for Canada Day and loved our stay. The room was charming and very cozy, breakfast was healthy and delicious, and Warren, who manages the inn, deserves the credit. This B&B can hold its own with any of the better hotel chains and in most cases surpasses them.
A tasteful Victorian Inn

Though it's listed in the B&B section on TA, it's actually a purpose-built boutique inn, designed and decorated in the Victorian style. It's really not old, but quite up to date. We stayed only one night at the end of a two-week vacation on Van Island. It's a quick 15-minute drive to the airport (right past a Chevron gas station for topping up the rental car), and a short walk to Sidney's waterfront, main street, and many bookshops.
Being close to YYJ (and almost on the approach to the main runway), you may hear the occasional plane landing or taking off. But it's not a busy airport, and flights don't operate terribly late or early.
Breakfast was great, as was the service.
The Beacon Inn gets extra brownie points for providing two (2!) luggage racks. In our travels, this is becoming exceedingly rare. One traveler (her) always appropriates the single luggage rack found at most hotels/inns, and the other (him) ends up with his suitcase on the floor, or balanced on top of a piece of furniture that was never intended for the purpose. Kudos to the Beacon Inn for realizing that most couples on vacation travel with two pieces of luggage:-)
A lovely Boutique Hotel

This is a quaint Boutique hotel in the heart of Sidney. An easy walk to the waterfront, stores and restaurants. Beautiful room (no view, but nice just the same) large bathroom with lovely bathtub. Friendly staff. Full breakfast was included, however since I was leaving early they were very accommodating by making me a bagged breakfast to go. Even accommodating my Vegan diet.
My only disappointment with this hotel was that they failed to book 2 rooms when we originally called. Our confirmation had 2 rooms booked for us, but it wasn't until we were enroute that we got a call to say they made an error and only had 1 room. They booked a room at the Travellodge a few blocks away for my daughter & husband and dropped my room rate which was very kind of them, but the fact that this happened was most disappointing. Our special weekend at a boutique hotel now involved us trying to co-ordinate from different areas and arranging meetups. I suggest if you are booking more than one room don't rely on your confirmation email. Call direct to be sure it had indeed been booked correctly. Otherwise, this would have been 5 star.
Such a lovely place

From the moment we were welcomed to the minute we left, we were treated to excellent service, friendliness, superb food and a great bedroom. Who could ask for anything more.
The breakfast was so different but very tasty.
