Poor accomodations

murrayjanice16on 29/08/2016 00:46

The lodge was not clean. There was a damp odor (and damprid present). The internet went down at the same time each morning. There was a soap wrapper on the floor in the bathroom when we arrived as well as a sewing needle in the carpet. the windows have broken locks so security is a huge concern. The carpet had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival. The metal heat cover in the bathroom has more rust than paint. We would not stay again.

Ok Stay

Good overall stay, room was clean and tidy but a little musty smell. It was pricey for what it was but it was last minute and a first time to the area. The kitchenette only had a fridge, coffee maker and micro wave. Did expect something to cook on. Also couldn't access wifi from room had to walk outside to the center of the motel. Will be going back to area but will try to find another place to stay.

Quiet, out-of-the-way and rustic

This was not a Hilton, but it brought back many memories of 50's-style 'motor lodge' cabin-type places that my parents took us to. It was located near the tourist area of Weir's Beach, which has not changed is maybe, 40 years. The room was anything but modern, but it was very clean, had cute 'bear' decorations and a good night's sleep.

security problems

spent 5 nights there week before the hectic bike week. clean and cozy. problem would be security with the room where we were staying at,#4. the lodge being 2 miles from the Lazy E there was no staff on location so if something was to happen you need to call them or police. our door had no bolt lock, the only lock on the door was the kind that you twist the mechanism on the door handle. you could open door by jamming a flexible card through. the two side windows in front did not have a lock on them nor a pole to prevent opening. the outside porch lights goes off around 11pm so the property is completely dark. granted the owner wants to sell the property as noted with the FOR SALE sign, but security for guest should be the number one priority. needs a fresh coat of paint on outside, replace rusted heater and headboard needs to be addressed. old out dated décor could be tolerated but security needs to be address, whether property being sold or not so long as they rent out unit. other than that, quiet, would go back if security problems been corrected.

Clean and Cozy Space

We recently took a trip up to New Hampshire to dig for minerals with my daughter's Gem and Mineral Group. The trip was planned for the Columbus Day weekend. We wanted to stay in a location that was within a reasonable distance from the two dig sites. We also wanted a location good for site-seeing and to take advantage of viewing the Fall foliage.
This place did provide a great location. We were secluded enough to have peace and quiet, but still on one of the secondary roads. Our room was clean and a nice, cozy size. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. There was also a small kitchen-like area and a small frig and microwave in the room. All-in-all, it was well work the accommodations offered.
The only thing I worn is to first drive to The Lazy E Cottages (also owned by the same people). You will have to sign in, pay, and pick up your keys there. Again, not a bad deal. You will get coupons for some of the area attractions and some of the restaurants, as well. Very friendly staff and a great cat, Inky, who greets you on the porch! We will definitely be back that way again!
