Doubardon 05/08/2017 04:50We choose the upstairs king garden room in the garden cottage. The room and restroom were nice. The Claw foot tub was amazing/ I enjoy sitting on the porch in the evening as he lights were on in the garden. It was a very pleasant place to be. Kate and Jeff were extremely professional but efficient which helping us choose a room. We enjoyed the location to the historical downtown area. The breakfast vouchers were a plus as we decided to try all 3 of the options. Palms Bagels was a favorite. We were pleasantly surprised with the option to use day pass at Hunting Island. The Beaufort Inn was a great place to stay
Elegance, southern charm abound!
Tisha399on 04/08/2017 19:12We've been visiting Beaufort for about 15 years but this was our first stay at the inn. We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Upon check in, you are given a tour of the home and grounds. In the lobby, there is a table with afternoon sweet treats! There is a beautiful lounge, like a large living space, with a TV and free water bottles, coffee and tea that I believe, are always available. They even have gift shop items available. The restrooms are very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Our room had two bedrooms and one bathroom. We were extremely comfortable. Each room had its own TV. We even had our own parking space that belonged to our cottage. We visited Cat Island so the kids could swim. It is a golf resort. We were given day passes. I think this is with a two-night minimum stay. It is a beautiful and quiet island and we had the pool practically to ourselves. This is a lovely venue for weddings. The outside areas are magical in the evening. They even have a spa. They do not serve breakfast at the inn but you are given a pass for breakfast at one of three restaurants within walking distance. They are all very good. I hope we can stay again sometime!
Ideal downtown vacation rental
erin757on 04/08/2017 15:09We were in South Carolina for my son's graduation from boot camp at Parris Island. The Beaufort Inn's 808 Bay property offered us the space of a VRBO without the super expensive cancellation policies we seemed to be encountering. The apartment was conveniently located to the waterfront, shops, and restaurants. Because it was downtown, it was a bit noisy so probably not suitable for families with small children, but for me with older teens and 20 somethings, it was perfect. The place was very roomy and well equipped. Parking was limited...one space at the apartment...but we were able to use the Beaufort lot one block away. Excellent breakfast options too with vouchers for 3 nearby coffee shops. Twenty minute drive to Parris Island and under an hour to Savannah. Super convenient. The only weird thing was a strange lack of cleaning supplies, ie dish soap, and trash bags! I would definitely stay at 808 Bay again.
A special spot!
Tim Ton 03/08/2017 21:45Wonderful hotel with lots of history. The Garden Room was great. A short walk to several great restaurants. We had stayed in several other area hotels and B&B's but this was the best and made our visit special. We will be back!

345bethdon 03/08/2017 21:41The décor of this home was gorgeous. Our cottage room was extremely spacious & the staff were all professional & it was clear that they wanted to please their guests.
Short walking distance to the waterfront shops & restaurants just topped it off.
I think this was the best stay of any hotel or B&B I've even been to in my life! Seriously!
