What People are saying

Great Location & Great Value (call in advance & bring cash!)

Crystal Hon 24/02/2017 12:08

I traveled with 2 friends to Verona for a weekend. We stayed in the 3 bedroom room which also had its own private bathroom. The room was nice and clean and breakfast included in the morning was great with coffee, croissants, breads, yogurts, and juice. A great breakfast given that thus far I had found the Italians don't eat much for breakfast.

The location is also wonderful as it is just around the corner from Piazza Bra where the Arena is located. It is also within walking distance to Casa di Giulietta and Museo di Castelvecchio .

When we initially arrived finding the office was challenging because it is located in an apartment across the street that is not clearly labeled. After ringing the bell for one of the two buzzers labeled B&B you will be buzzed in and wait for a lady to came down to let you into the b&b in the other building. You also have to pay in cash for the room when you arrive. We thought we had booked online in advance but the transaction didn't go through because of an error on the B&Bs end. I thought it was maybe just us but upon reading other reviews it is clear they only take cash.

Overall I would recommend if you call in advance so they know to have someone in the office ready to let you in and bring cash to pay for the room.

Ok

This place is well located and the room is very clean. But there are other important things they don't mention. You can just pay in cash (although the lady said there was a problem with the machine I couldn't believe her). They sent an email before we arrive asking the hour we would arrive because there was no reception. Our train was late and we arrived later and nobody was there to help us. If you have any question there's nobody to answer. The brrakfast was ok. The first day the coffee machine wasn't working and there was nobody to complain. Anyway, I probably wouldn't stay there again.

No One There....

First I would like to say that the room we had was good and cute with air conditioning and the location was very good right by the Arena. Why I would not give this hotel a 4 or 5 is the fact that it seemed to be run by no one. There is no front desk and if you do not call or email ahead before you show up chances are that you will get there and have to wait for someone to come let you in. There happened to be a cleaning woman there to let us in thank goodness or we would have been stuck waiting outside for a while with all of our bags. The breakfast was very mediocre and when we needed to check out to catch a train - again with no one there we had to call wait 15 minutes then they only took cash, we were low on so had to run to the ATM to get euros. This was not clear at all that we needed to prepare cash and really annoying and we almost missed our train.

So if you are going to stay here, bring cash and call ahead when checking in and out. If you do this you will have a much better experience.

Wrong decision

We went for two days due to Arena de Verona Opera. Aida
Well, the all service was a tragedy. Bad service, the room not was at all as it like in the site, very bad internet service
In addition, they didn't change the towels, nobody was there
Finally, we had to pay in cash. They didn't have a credit car machine
The all stay was a complete disaster
Take other option in Verona

Great Location and value

We had decided to visit Verona and spend the day evening getting to know the city. But first somewhere to stay, we wanted to be somewhere central so we didn't have to use the car. My wife found this place on the net, the price was in budget and reviews were good so we booked, all very easy.
Location: just off Centre near the a Arena. Easy walking distance to Romeo and Juliett balcony as well as many other places.
Access. Direct by car from airport, 30 mins max. Get satnav.
Parking. Across the street from the apartment, below the supermarket. 15€ per day. Parking available in the street bur scare.
Apartment. Spacious decorated in modern style. Light colours minimalistic well appointed. Nice bathroom. Balcony overlooking the street. Fridge.
Access to apartment. We were on the third floor. Access via stairs or very small lift, 1 person, 1 case that's it!
Negatives. Road noise. Bottle bin emptying by local bars at 02.00.
Positives. Everything above but the negatives. Would we stay there again, you bet we would!
