Breathtaking!!

Myself, sister and dad stayed in two rooms in this b&b and I had previously looked on TripAdvisor for reviews and pictures, which I must say do it no justice! I'll start from the welcome which was lovely, the lady owner spoke good English and shown us around, she gave us maps of the local area and gave us recommendations of where to visit to eat.

The rooms were just wow! Absolutely stunning! Very big and spacious with beautiful ceiling paintings, very very clean, the shower in our room was really good, always hot water, big lovely windows, I would advise to keep the window closed as it does get very noisy very early in the morning (from 5:30)

The breakfast was a continental breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, meat, cheeses, cereal, a lot of choice and it was different each morning, you can have breakfast at your time of choice which I thought was a good idea, and it's all laid out for you in the dining room with a choice of cold and hot drinks.

The staff (who I believe had just started working there) couldn't do enough for you, the rooms were cleaned everyday.

The location was perfect, in the center of the Citta Alta (old town) and easy and pleasant walk to all bus stops and to the funicular which was a 5 min walk away.

I would highly recommend this b&b and would visit again, stunning building, lovely people and beautiful food.

Historic little gem in the heart of Old Bergamo

Beautiful and charming 15th century suite of rooms in the middle of the Citta Alta. You can drive right up to the outside to drop off your suitcases and then park, with a notice in the windscreen, on the nearby square. Alfonso, the owner, is absolutely charming, very helpful and very friendly. He recommended two great local restaurants for us. We were delighted with our stay and came away very happy.

Very comfortable B&B in the heart of Bergamo old town.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. The B&B is situated within a historic 400 year old building..You enter the courtyard which has a delightful aroma of fennel and bay ,.the steps take you to the B&B..which comprises of 3 rooms (one a suite) a fourth room is under development..The rooms are beautiful, very ornate with high ceilings, painted frescoes and huge, comfortable beds. The bathrooms are well equipped.. Breakfast is typical italian, fresh fruits, cheeses, fresh bread rolls, cereals, breakfast biscuits and yoghurts..It is situated just off the main street, a few mins from Piazza Vechhio and shops, bars & restaurants. The owner, Alfonso is very welcoming and helpful, he didn't speak much english but I can speak italian which was good practice for me. He will also offer to pick you up and take you to the airport for a cheaper price than a standard taxi. I would definitely recommend it to all.

Very clean and hot place. we were for a weekend on January 2016.
Mr.Alfonso very gentle person. His advises for the places we have to visit were very helpful. Very good breakfast, hand made and traditional.
Will visit this House again very soon

We stayed at Alba Chiara between the 21st and 24th December. Our stay was very comfortable. The room was cosy, spotlessly clean and very spacious for a family of four. Its medieval style gave it that extra character, which we really appreciated.

The breakfast was excellent. Something different every day, freshly prepared and pleasantly presented with a personal touch😃.

The place is a stone's throw from Piazza Vecchia and most venues could be reached on foot.

Highly recommended!
