Give the Antiche Armonie B&B a try! Don't let the lack of recent reviews, etc scare you off. At first, we were not sure what to expect when seeing the building, or being in the lobby. But, when you get up to the right floor and into the Antiche Armonie it is totally fine. It is also a good deal (especially compared to the rest of Florence).

The room was spacious and we had no problems with it. There is a cash bar with drinks in the in-room refrigerator if you wish to partake.

Simone met us for check in and showed me around. He then took the time to tell about the city and draw the important places on a map. He gave tips and advice. He then was kind enough to come downstairs and help us find a parking spot.

The breakfast has gotten some harsh reviews on here, but perhaps those are unwarranted. We found the breakfast to be fine. There was pastries (both fresh and some in bags), cereal, juices, yogurt, etc. There was also a sweet lady who would make you fresh cappuccino or whatever coffees you desired. No complaints from us!

Gaia was great the next morning! She was so so kind and thoughtful. Simone and Gaia would be a reason to return.

Clean and friendly staff

It is a very clean hotel and the staff was really friendly and attentive. He has given very good tips and maps on the tourist spots.

If you have a big luggage, be prepared because you need to walk about 15 min from the Central station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella).

Clean and comfortable

We stayed here for 5 nights and found the B&B to be comfortable and clean which was great. The bed in particular was amazing as it was so comfortable! The location is ok, slightly far out of town so it's a good 15 minute walk but it's also nice to be away from all the crowds too. The wifi and air con worked really well which was brilliant. The breakfast was our only disappointment as it was very basic - a selection of pre-packaged sweet croissants and coffee, so not great if you're expecting something savoury or hot but it will do. The owners are friendly also and made us feel very welcome.

Fairly average and pricey for its location

Located 1km North of SMN Stazione on a busy, noisy & seedy looking street. Rooms in a mixed residential and B&B apartment block. Lodgings were spacious and clean. Friendly owners Gabi & Simone.

However breakfast provided was simply some sweet croissants and bread rusks placed in your room. Only 2 Nespresso type coffee capsules provided and you pay for any more.

Simple, clean, good value accommodation. Breakfast was basic as advertised and described in other reviews, and walk is 15 minutes as advertised, north of the train stain in the opposite direction of attractions. Florence is small so best to get around on foot so walking a little further to stay here is not a big deal. The best things about this place are the in room coffee machine (room5) and the delightful host Gaia who was cheerful and helpful offering tips for restaurants and walking routes. The worst feature is that the room stayed overly warm overnight, but that was easily fixed by opening the window!
