Highlight of my trip!

Although I spent weeks exploring the great castles, art and landmarks of Europe, my stay at Casa Nina was far and away the highlight of my trip. Host Daniel was so authentically warm and funny and had me laughing even before my first sip of coffee! And the coffee, along with the rest of the breakfast, superb! Daniel gets up every morning at 6am to cut up fresh fruit. He serves this with the freshest crossaint, homemade jams, nutella, rolls, and always some special treat he picked out just for me.
He can recite from memory the train you should take for your daily outing and will go over and above to help you find the perfect adventure for your day. He suggested to be the perfect hidden gem of a place, printed maps, train schedules, walking routes and even called the towns restaurant to see what vegetarian items they had!

The location is ideal. Just a short walk up a ramp across from the train station and the sound of the trains adds an extra ambiance and is not bothersome at all.
Which brings me to Lierna itself. Go to Varenna and the first thing you will see is scowling, sweaty tourists slogging up the steep hills to the train with their luggage.

Both Varenna and Bellagio or jammed packed with touri crammed into restaurants with other tourists while Lierna is peaceful, beautiful and just a short train ride away to catch the ferry to the sites. This small town has everything you need: bakeries, restuarants, beaches and best of all the locals, who greeted me with exuberance everytime I walked into one of their establishments. Eating my enormous homemade plates of paste (for $6!) every night at Two Sisters, I would watch the locals greet each other with that trademark Italian enthusiasm and after just a few days I felt like a local myself.
So if you want an exquisite and restful stay on Lake Como, choose Lierna. And the crown jewel of this perfect town is Casa Nini B & B!

We enjoyed our one night with Daniel very much. He has a very beautiful, very clean and big house with a big and sunny garden in front. We had a room with sea view which made our stay perfect.The house itself is not very easy to reach as a very narrow street leads to it. We would recommend to park at the train station which is right across the street. Daniel is very anxious and gave us a lot of tips about the area, where to go and where better not to go. His breakfast with their homemade jam (the wife makes it) was the perfect start of the day. Thank you Daniel and we hope to see you again soon. R & J

Very nice B &B in Lierna Italy!
Beautiful home. Convienent to train station and lake Como activities ! Daniell is a very accommodating hosts and does much to make you feel at home! He is very knowledgeable about area and helps one find different activities in area! Very nice host! He even drove us to ferry one am!

Perfect location and a lovely house

Lovely view from the room, where you could see the lake. Perfect location close to the railway station so it was easy to go around the lake without car. Amazing host serving really nice breakfast with the best kiwi jam. If you like hiking the route between Lierna and Varenna started right behind the house and along the hike you got amazing views over the lake.

Proprietor Daniel greets you when arrive at the Lierna train station and each morning with a carefully prepared breakfast! Speaks flawless English, and probably other languages as well. The entire place is more like a home than a lodging and there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere. Stay here, you will be glad you did
