Grand hotel converted into B&B
tomac1957on 21/06/2017 02:05Clean two bed unit with breakfast . Next to train and bus service and easy walking distance to town. The downside was the second bedroom was rented at the same time which was a bit awkward. Each room has it's own bathroom and a curtain in the hall for privacy. There was a mix up with our arrival and we were unable to enter until the owner arrived some 30 mins later.Okay for an overnight stay.

Larger room, good mattress, good continental breakfastf, your own bathroom with larger size walk in shower but in common area. WiFi good, no english TV, Cienza and Pietro are friendly and accommodating. Restaurant recommended Soho was good quality. 15 min walk from B&B.
Loved the Grand Hotel that this B & B is housed in.
msmugson 22/09/2016 22:06The unit was impeccable, well appointed. We enjoyed the company of our very accomodating hostess Cincia. The breakfast served was delightful. On our last day Petro gave us a ride to the train station. This was much appreciated, it would have been difficult to get our luggage there.
Super base for Genova and Levante
Pelourinhoon 03/07/2016 15:01We reserved this stunning B&B half a year ago and paid less than 600 Euros for a 7 days stay. It was a good investment! Fine location, although the old town is a good 25 minutes walk away and the area below the "palace" isn't exactly top of the range.
But the railway station and metro is very handy if you want to go to nearby places like Santa Margherita, Rapallo or Portofino.
The place itself used to be the posh Grand Hotel in more glorious days. The Domitilla are small flats with kitchen accsess and ensuite bathrooms. Super clean, and our room came with a small balcony as well. Nicely furnished.
A continental breakfast is served every morning. Nothing spectacular, but ok.
The couple who run the place is very nice and helpful.
You won't regret using this place.
Wonderful quiet and comfortable pre cruise stay
Drewlinon 16/06/2016 17:14Our apartment consisted of 2 bedrooms each with their own bathroom (brilliant shower) and a joint kitchen/lounge area. It is on 5th floor of what was a palace and is situated at the right hand corner with a wrapped around terrace. We paid for a harbour view and we weren't disappointed. Our bedroom was large with a sitting area by the windows consisting of 2 chairs and a small round table with tea/coffee making facilities and a large bottle of water. My husband enjoyed sitting there at 6am watching our cruise ship come into port. The owners came in the following morning and prepared a lovely continental breakfast for us. Ideal location for us as we walked to the cruise terminal in the morning and it took just 7 minutes so no need for a taxi. There is also a supermarket near the entrance so handy for getting that bottle of wine and snacks if required. It is quite close to the railway station although higher as the tracks go beneath. We did not feel any vibration or noise from the trains, however, the couple in the other bedroom to the side of the hotel said that they were aware of the vibrations but were not intrusive.
