Location good - shame for some "small" things

I have mixed feelings for this place. Some things were very good, some not.

Plus: - close to Metro
10 min walk to Colloseum and other attractions
10 min walk to Termini
rooms 4 and 5 are big, and also quiet
good wifi
nice TV (but only italian channels) :)
cheap for center of the Rome

minus: very poor beds. The matrace should be changed for new ones.
hard to find
very limited choice for breakfast
shower (no pressure)
no safe

Big plus was the lady at the reception. She was very helpfull. Beside this, I think, that the next time, when I visit Rome, I´d rather take the hotel outside the center. For the same price you get much much more.

Mediocre, at best.

First off, the price is very cheap - you instantly see why as soon as you arrive. Though well located, close to Termini and the Colloseum, the inn is poorly signposted - we walked passed the doors.

The reception area has a very bizarre smell, though the rooms are clean and ours didn't smell. Breakfast is very poor and we spent most of our days paying to eat out, rather than eat at the very well hidden dining area, which we didn't find until asking the unfriendly staff.

Our room had only one EU-charger socket, meaning we were only able to charge one device (in the bathroom) at any one time. When we discussed this with the receptionist she simply said 'yes'. The reception desk was only staffed from 8:30am-2pm, so arriving at 5pm we had to wait for the manager to let us in, which meant standing around waiting for 20 minutes.

Another issue we had was that though there were towels when we first got there (one each) these were not replaced over the course of the holiday, and there was nowhere to adequately dry them. When cleaning our room halfway through our stay both our towels were removed and we had to wait until 8:30 the next day to get new towels.

Overall, the hotel was adequate, it was a dry place to sleep and store our clothes, it was cheap and we definitely got what we paid for.

Its nothing special

Myself and my two other 3ish friends visted from September 16-21st. First impression was not that good at all,it took 2 different taxis to find the place from the airport. Once we arrived it took about an hour to find someone to help us even find the entrance, and another 45 mins to get in contact with the owner. We booked through Expedia and some how got a 6 person room for 3 ppl but due to booking through Expedia we couldn't down grade or get a partial refund. The room was hot, with only one small A/C unit to cool the entire top and bottom floor. The WORST part for me was the room key situation!! We got one key chain with 5 different keys on it between 3 people... So where one went, everybody had to go. I wouldn't say this place is that bad for the price.... I wouldnt stay there again.. but if you don't care about any form of luxuary it might be for you.

Did what we needed but would not return

Last minute break in Rome meeting up with family who were travelling across Europe from Australia. We really just wanted a room that was within walking distance of the sights. Booked flights and hotel together......flight got in close to midnight and on arrival (when we finally found the front door) found that last check in was 10pm....this was not mentioned anywhere.....BEWARE!! Rang the bell and phoned the agents and finally got in. Owner was not helpful and having been at work all day and travelled late we were not in the mood for his attitude.
The room was clean and that is about the best one could say. No phone, no fridge, no kettle. Bed was ok, pillows poor. Noisy but then this is a city. However, some of the guests seemed to forget that there were other people staying!
Didn't even try breakfast as it seemed to be a sort of self service affair.....walked into the city and enjoyed coffee etc. in the sun.
I would not recommend this place and having seen the apartment that my brother had rented in the city I would go for that option every time when we return.
So - Rome beautiful, Magic Inn not that magic!!!!
