Extremely beautiful location and very friendly people! In every direction we looked and went from S'Alzolitta has been a joy. Every day another route. Superb hidden beaches in reach of an hour by bike! Our host David  helped us with renting those bikes, as he did with any other insider information we needed. The close town of Bosa deserves one's full attention as well - and David can give you a few very good tips:-) We started every day bright and breezy as we had the most refreshing view on the neighbouring village on the other hill from our bed, and one even better panoramic view from the breakfast terrace. Our room was really quiet, clean, cosy and with a nice  shady corner outside in the backyard.  After the long walks up and down the hills it was really a bless. We haven't missed anything in that room.  Nor in our communication with David & his wife, although we don't speek a word Italian.   Thank you for a very pleasant stay and an authentic sardinian experience, Mr Seniolda:-)

The owner didn't let me in at 23:45 to give me a lesson

In a nutshell: the owner knew I was coming late, was present at my arrival but wouldn't let me in, so I ended up sleeping in the car.

More details follow:
I was arriving late to the hotel, as it is in a small village on my way to Alghero. I couldn't manage to call as I was driving on the curvy dark road with bad telephone coverage. The owner called me at 11pm asking when would I arrived and i answered 'by 11:30 if everything is ok'. Everything wasn't ok, i was tired, lost the way and arrived at 11:45. When i finally arrived and i was looking for an entrance someone told me it is closed. I said i spoke with the owner of the hotel and he's expecting me. The man answered that this is not a hotel but an BnB and I cannot be late. I said I was really sorry, but I didn't know the roads there (or even that the hotel was in the mountain as it was my first time in Sardinia). He started shouting at me and wouldn't let me in. With this attitude I wouldn't even feel safe to stay there.
In the end I had to search for another place at midnight, but there were none in this town so I headed for Alghero hoping to find something. After 1 hour drive and 1 hour search couldn't find vicancies and ended up sleeping at a parking lot at 2am, extremely tired and scared.

On the next day my booking was cancelled on booking.com at the cost of 135 euro (which i don't think were taken from my card as there were not enough money on the one i booked with).
The hotel, or BnB, has a rating of 9.2 on booking.com which I always trust and use for my travels. But i believe this is extremely misleading if the owner would treat you with such disrespect and cause you so much stress and discomfort.

Bed & Breakfast S'Alzolitta can be found in a little town called Magomadas. The owner is very kind but doesn't speak English. The rooms are clean and are equipped with an airco, safe and tv. There's also a little terrrace. Unfortunately it rained so we couldn't enjoy the view up on the roof during breakfast.

Had a great stay in this delightful bed & breakfast. We received a very walk welcome and were made to feel at home immediately. Room was great and the garden was an added bonus. Breakfast on the terrace was a stunning experience. Would recommend this accommodation for anyone visiting Bosa and the surrounding area!

Great value, view and starting point to see majority of the island!

The price was very nice and so were the view of the breakfast terrace :) Walls are indeed a bit thin so if you have a very light sleep and morning type neighbors next doors that might be an issue, but as we were off-season that wasn't one for us.
As for location, it's really a nice base for visiting west coast of the island, Oristano, Bosa, Alghero all within an easy reach. But If you are a driving fan (like we are;)) you can easily get to Olbia, Costa Paradiso etc as well, although we didn't (this time ;)) as we were staying just for few days.
The host is very kind, helpful and entertaining person, however doesn't speak English almost at all, so basics of Italian are a must if you would need anything special from them. There is an English-Italian pocket dictionary available, which I found very useful :)
All in all: great place to stay in western Sardinia. If we would like to see Bosa's beach again we will definitely stay here :)
