Trapani Old Town B&B

Our family group of 3 adults wanted a centrally situated B&B to avoid car hire thus we booked at the Spinnaker. Owner Andreas telephoned us prior to departure to arrange airport pick up. We were picked up promptly and whisked in about 20 minutes to the B&B. The driver telephoned on the way so that Andreas & wife Rita were outside to welcome us on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and they dircted us to a local restaurant for pizza and drinks even though it was about 10.30pm.
Our triple room was spacious and we had a private bathroom. Andreas arranged breakfast for us each morning at a local cafe / bar and our favourite was Caffe Mediterranean about 50 metres away.
We were perfectly situated for the port and the ferries to the Egadi Islands also the beach was within a 5 minute walk. The tourist information centre is close by and a 12 euro pack can be bought there for the handy local bus then for the cable car up to medievel Erice village and return.
The people of Trapani are most welcoming nd prices are comparitively low evidenced by the 5 euro litre caraffes of local nero d'avola wine available in many restaurants.
We had a wonderful short holiday and will certainly return to Sicily.
Whilst the B&B is within a large old building and in a nice part of the old town, visitors should be aware of many steps to access also that some noise can be heard at night from a local bar.

Home from home...Andrea and Rita are like family...and they always keep in touch. Would advise anyone to stay here...it's amazing!!! It's with walking distance to everywher..shops...beach...port...restaurant etc. I have been going to trapani for 5 years now and I love it. The local people are so very friendly and Deena and franco at the Birreria Italia on Via Torrearsa are great!
