What People are saying

B&B Villa Velia

fozzie369on 21/10/2016 08:06

We happened upon Villa Velia while looking for a place to spend one night. We loved it so much we ended up spending two. This was truly a wonderful experience. The owners treat you like family and go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. The rooms are nicely decorated and meticulously maintained. It sits on a very large and beautifully landscaped property. The breakfast each morning was delicious and plentiful. They provided a map each day with suggestions for sights to visit as well as recommendations for area restaurants. All of this and a price that was surprisingly affordable. The days we spent at B&B Villa Velia were one of the highlights of our visit to Italy.

Great Place to Stay

jennydan2016on 19/10/2016 14:13

My wife and I have been traveling to Italy for the past 15 years
And have been in many hotels throughout Italy.

We walk into this B&B late afternoon without reservations by happen of chance and they had availability for two couples. Luck was smiling on us that day.

The Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was wonderful with homemade pastries and dishes.
Great location to see the surrounding area and explore northern Italy.

Our hosts, Angelo and Moira, definitely went above and beyond what we expected, and I cannot say enough how nice our stay was.

This is now one of our favorite places to stay.

go to this lovely place!

We cannot recommend this place enough! Angelo and Moira are lovely, accommodating people. They have styled the place with the utmost comfort in mind. When we arrived they brought us watermelon to refresh us in the heat. The breakfast they put on was so plentiful; so much variety, something for everyone - melon, meats, yogurt, eggs, cereal, coffee, juice, fruits, and so much more. Then on the morning we were leaving, and when we had made the silly mistake of not releasing the that buses wouldn't run on a sunday, Angelo gave us a lift to the station! Such a lifesaver, and so courteous. You can tell they love the area and what they do, and enjoy having people to stay.
The surrounding area is gorgeous. So peaceful and beautiful. Would recommend that you may need a car. We were only there for one night so didn't mind chilling around the B&B, but if you were going to stay for longer and wanted to go further afield, then a car would be necessary. There is a town nearby, about twenty mins walk, but there isn't a path for the most of it, so walking along the road is nervy experience! The town is lovely when you get to it, a great ice cream shop. Nice shops selling local produce (good wine from the region).
Our room was the suite, so we had our own entrance, which was lovely. A nicely kept dining room and sitting area with a TV with an array of channels. And the bathroom was perfect, not wanting for anything in it (the shower was lovely!) But the room was the best bit. King sized bed, wonderfully decorated, gorgeous furniture, and a view of the Tuscan countryside that we didn't want to stop looking at.
Our only regret is not staying longer. definitely want to come back!

Delightful couple and a wonderful stay

All was perfect . So much attention to details . Angelo and Moira made us feel at home. We will not forget Moira's amazing touch and Angelo's guidance. It is definetly the place to stay when visiting Tuscany. Overall a wonderful experience we loved every bit of it.
Thank you Angelo and Moira for making our stay so special.

Wonderful location, comfort, and hospitality.

My wife and I arrived home two days ago from our Tuscany car rental and B&B trip of about 19 days, and this B&B was our last extended stay, of five nights. We loved it! I want to go back right now. Angelo and Moira are so loving and caring, and they are also outrageously good cooks. The rooms are (I mean, ours was) 100% comfortable and quiet with A/C and an especially comfortable mattress that soothed my old slightly arthritic back pains. Breakfast comes with the daily fee, and Moira loves to show off her excellent cooking skills and serves such delicious food. I got five pounds plumper. Angelo and Moira have the facilities and skills to handle groups of tourists, and would be wonderful to work with as a destination wedding place with the location and food all at the highest levels. Moira's daughter is a professional photographer ... so, just go there. It's a fine home base in the beautiful Tuscany region. Excellent restaurants for evening meals are close by. One is within walking distance. What a fine place.
