Part of an Amazing Italy Vacation
Garganoon 31/03/2016 21:34Although this trip was almost four years ago, ( July 2012) I wanted to post something about the great B & B that we stayed in along the way,
This particular B & B was one of the highlights of our trip.
Although it is a fair distance from the train station (which is how we traveled for the month) it was truly a hidden gem. Rustic as expected, but surprisingly well appointed as well. The shower was a treat - very modern and done up in travertine, it came complete with mood lighting that you could adjust right in the shower!
The breakfasts were amazing, with freshly baked bread, ham, fruit and a selection of cheeses.
As the pictures of the B & B depict, it is located on a very steep cobblestone 'road'. Walking in and around the village can be quite a workout.
There is a beautiful village square with an incredible view of the Tuscan countryside, and a bistro and a full restaurant where the food was amazing. The square often had live entertainment in the evenings.
There a a number of great restaurants in the village as well, and many historical sites to visit.
Loved it.
you can't get service like this in NA
joanne non 12/10/2015 01:02alessio and fede are two men who run this b&b with class. we communicated in English via email to book the rooms, and they tried hard to speak English to us Canadians as well. they picked us up from the train station so that we didn't have to drag our luggage into town, tailored breakfast time for the guests and the rooms are stylish, contemporary, and comfortable. most b&b's in this region only replace linens every 3 days so I was pleasantly surprised when they replaced my towels on day 2. the b&b is in a great location close to CF's main square. I fell in love with this little town and I think the b&b definitely was a part of that. grazie mille aless and fede!!
Smack down in the middle of town
Alamotraveleron 21/08/2014 01:41I reserved a room here because my daughter was staying at the Santa Chiara college study center, and the hotel was ideally located -- just a 2-minute walk from the study center and a 2-minute walk into the center of town. The room was simple, but nice, with a private bath and A/C. Be aware that each room is on a different floor of the narrow building, and my room was up about 4 flights of stairs, even though I was the only one staying at the B&B at that time! The complimentary breakfast was good, with sliced meats and cheeses and a few pastries, plus delicious blood orange juice and cappuccinos made to order. At the end, the owner very kindly drove my daughter and me to the train station, which saved us about a 15-minute walk with suitcases. One note: there was oftentimes no one on the premises, which meant that if I needed something, too bad. I called the number given one time and no one answered.
Wonderful B&B with modern structures and a fantastic breakfast
Citron9on 04/08/2014 17:09Great old building where all rooms are decorated with style and furnished with a huge bed and a very modern bathroom.
Fantastic breakfast with fresh and bakery products. It´s not that often, so good to mention it.
Great cappucino.
Fantastic hosts who took me to the station with my suitcase. It would have taken me 20 minutes otherwise since the building is in the centre.
Definitely the place to stay.
Fantastic B&B!
HappyHols320on 15/06/2014 15:57This quaint B&B is simply a delight! For a start it offers amazing value for money and is well located but it doesn't end there! We absolutely loved all the colour theming of each room - such quirky attention to detail which included a matching ribbon on the guest towel bale! Even the key card to the room co-ordinated!! We requested a balcony room which was great too! The B&B offered a peaceful relaxing respite after a busy few days in Florence. We parked up for two days and soaked up the wonderful Italian ambience of the town and enjoyed two fantastic meals out at local restaurants - of particular note for us was Da Guida where we enjoyed a fabulous meal on their beautiful terrace with stunning sunset views. Federico and Allesio are charming hosts at the Viziotavvo - I can say with total confidence that if you make a booking you will not be disappointed! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
