My wife and I stayed her two nights. As a retired truck driver, I have had a lot of experience staying in hotels. This one is by far the best I ever stayed at. Everything about it was five stars. Plus the price was very reasonable for what we got. The owners were so friendly and even gave us a lot of tips on things to see in the area. I pride myself on being an excellent cook and am very picky about what I eat. Well, the breaksfast that was served both days was incredible. Plus there was plenty to eat. And we had all the coffee we wanted. I will definitely come back here if I'm in the area again and have already recommended it to my friends.

Our room was very nice and cozy. Rebecca was super friendly and welcoming. Susumo cooked a delicious breakfast everyday. They take a lot of pride in their home. We had a great stay! Would definitely go back!

Excellent place to stay

Rooms don't get much cozier than this! Very quaint and clean, well-kept rooms. Each room had a different theme, which is a cool little twist. It's located right in the center of the town and we're looking forward to returning again!

Rude Owner takes away from positives of this place

In order to be fair, I will highlight the positives:

Rebecca was very pleasant on the phone when I made the reseveration
The rooms are cute and comfortable with air-conditioning and clean
Her husband, who cooks breakfast, makes really good breakfast.
When she didn't return my credit card by mistaken, she was very prompt in mailing it back to me.
We had to leave so they packed up some breakfast so I would be able to feed my son.

All that being said, I will still give this place a 1 star. My husband asked me if booked the "get abused rate". I called Rebecca as I needed a last minute booking (hours before) to look at properties in the catskills. It was my, my husband, our 1.5 year old and our two dogs. I communicated this all to rebecca and she told me she had two rooms. One was 170 i believe and the other 190. I told her We'd get in late and had a 9 am appt with the realtor the next day so we'd leave then. I told her the cheaper room would be fine bc we were literally just going there to sleep. All of this was fine and good and we made our way over.

We got to bed on clouds at 10 pm. I told her we wanted to check in quickly bc i had a half asleep 1.5 year old. Within seconds of us walking in, Rebecca received a phone call with a cancellation from another customer from travelocity. This seem to unleash the hulk. She was yelling at the phone and then also yelling at us. She took us to our room and then said we shouldn't' stay in that room bc we have dogs and maybe we should take the other room. At this point I have a toddler who's now awake agitated and do not want to wait for her to make the other bed. So i tell her that our dogs will not set foot in her room bc we would keep them in their crate after walking them at night and take them out in the morning (which is what we did). when I put my son down, she started yelling at me that he will break things (he didn't) and when he touched her lamp, she started yelling at my child. This was my breaking point and I had to keep myself from slapping this woman across the face.

After a stressful night, we finally slept (and like i said the room is nice so we slept quite well). The next morning I went to pay my bill. I told her that I saw her rate and it was different from what she told me. She said yes but of course she needs to add more to it bc i came with a child and my dogs and how she will never allow dogs again (i didn't force her to take my dogs and i dont think she saw my dogs and my dogs didn't so much s step foot on her carpet). At this point i was sick of her attitude- I had committed to paying almost 200 dollars to spend less than 12 hours some place where from inception we got yelled at....and so i told her, that that was not what she communicated to me and she should charge me what she had communicated to me. She did so grudgingly, telling me i am trying to fleece her after she had a cancellation of 8 nights (if she hadn't been so heinous i might've sympathized with this situation). She also said "let us forget we know each other". Well rebecca, you certainly made our experience unforgettable and i can not think of a worse experience we have ever had anywhere in our travels across 40+ countries and 100s of cities. Also i hope the next time you think its your place to yell at anyone else's child, they do slap you across the face because you certainly deserve it.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights recently and we were very pleased with our visit. Rebecca is a wonderful, special hostess and Susumu is quite the chef and also a very welcoming, hospitable host. I wasn't feeling well and Rebecca offered up some great advice and even offered up some great remedies that had me feeling better in no time! They are a very special couple and our stay at Beds on Clouds will be remembered as an added, unexpected treat to our stay in Windham. We absolutely will stay there again if we ever go back.
