Handy for airport
KateNaScerion 01/05/2017 22:02Stayed here for 1 night prior to an early morning flight from kansai, its a fairly functional hotel but the rooms were comfortable and its right across the road from a coop which was convenient. The airport shuttle at 5:30am was quick and ran on time.
Dated but very satisfactory
elizabethramsayon 23/04/2017 01:13Close to a big supermarket which is interesting to peruse! Beds comfy, good wi fi.... too warm like most Japanese hotels but we opened a window! Breakfast probably as good as you get in average Japanese hotels.
Glad to leave
Mianxxon 18/04/2017 00:43Small room which is clean but it was a sweatbox with no working air con. Bed and pillow hard and they would not give us an extra pillow which I needed for my broken rib. Awful. So glad to be leaving. Feeling wrecked.
Clean and perfect for your 1st night in Japan!
pascal von 03/04/2017 13:36This use to be a Ramada ..it is a little outdated furniture wise but the price is correct and the breakfast is superb.e
the staff was right on hand and friendly but when i sent an email to inquire about the shuttle service from the airport i never got a response....i found the answer i needed later on the hotel website....last free shuttle is at 10.30 pm from the airport to the hotel , after that you need to take the train / only 2 station away and walk 10 minutes once you get to the station/ ask for a direction at the train station but it is really easy to find.
Happy overnight stay
traveling_lady055on 16/01/2017 15:06Clean, convenient hotel. Booked a twin single room for 2 and was upgraded to double room with 2 double beds and sofa on the 12th floor with a great view of the city and temple below. More than enough room for two. One interesting thing is that you had to place your bum all the way to the back of the toilet seat in order for the bidet to work (they had a sign placed on the bathroom instructing you) otherwise the bidet did not function. No problem, just strange, never had to sit so far back before.
Others have complained about the "dated" style but actually found the room furniture quite charming, clean, and in good working order. Large bathroom with large tub, good for a nice long soak.
Two train stops from Kansai Airport, 490 yen pp. 5 mins walk to Izumisano train station. There is a COOP supermarket across the "street" (more like a lane by American road standards), and another supermarket kitty corner to the back of the hotel on the same street as the temple.
While they do have hotel shuttle very limited service hours so did not use them. Check in/out very quick and efficient. Ate dinner at hotel restaurant, tatami room, good food, good service, no English spoken but still able for staff and us to communicate. Did not partake of the breakfast in the morning.
As others have commented not much in the way of tourist sights but enjoyed walking the city taking in Japanese life. The Rinku outlet shopping mall is the stop between hotel and KIX. High end outlets, not really our thing. Preferred wandering the SEACLE shops next to the outlet mall and riding the Ferris wheel. There are lockers and stores with baggage storage (300-400 yen per bag) so we didn't have to schlep our bags around while there.
