Perfect choice!!
JenniferS894on 31/08/2017 11:37We absolutely LOVED our stay at Hotel Bellevue! It was a perfect location with a short 15 min walk to Old Town, but far enough away to feel like a retreat. The hotel overlooks a private beach and has the most stunning views of cliffs and the Adriatic.
The superior sea view room with a balcony was lovely. Enjoyed the views and sitting on the balcony listening to waves and watching cliff jumpers. The room itself was spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was included in the stay and was very good. The restaurant on the terrace was very pretty in the morning. Food and drinks at the beach restaurant were great too!
The staff at Bellevue, every single one we encountered, were great. We had amazing service the entire trip. A special shout to Mario, our driver to the airport, who gave us our last 'tour' of Dubrovnik on the way.
Would highly recommend Hotel Bellevue. I loved everything about it. I hope I can come back some day!
Wonderful hotel
Nicola Con 29/08/2017 21:57We arrived very early before our room was ready but we were allowed to familiarise ourselves with the hotel facilities including the spa and the beach. We found the views from the balconies absolutlely amazing.
The room was excellent, 5 star. As a female I would like more than four hangers though for a weeks worth of clothes!
Quality of food was very good and the service too.
The only downfall for me was the layout of the hotel floors and the confusing access from stairs and lifts. A thorough induction from staff is needed otherwise it is easy to get lost! The small gym overlooking the (cold) indoor pool was well used by us as well as the excellent spa treatments.
It is 15-20 minutes walk to the old town (in the stifling heat) but well worth it.
Really enjoyed staying here, but the food and drink is expensive, as everywhere in Dubrovnik.
lovely setting, beautiful rooms
Michelle Mon 29/08/2017 11:18The hotel is a 10 - 15 minute (downhill) walk to the Old Town, The hotel has its own beach in a small natural habour, the sea is very clear and warm in summer and is very good for small children and adults.
The rooms are lovely and the suites large and airy.
Good choice in Dubrovnik
NorthbrookMomon 28/08/2017 21:00We had 2 Superior sea view balcony double rooms and traveled with our 2 teenage children.
The good:
- The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Nice L'Occitane bath products.
- Rooms were stocked with complimentary water each day.
- We enjoyed the fruit plate that they sent to our room shortly after check-in.
- The views from the rooms were lovely and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony, enjoying the sights and sounds of the sea.
- Breakfast was delicious and served in a well-appointed dining room or on the terrace overlooking the water - beautiful.
- Our package included transfers to/from the airport/ferry dock, which was very convenient.
- We enjoyed having a convenient beach at the base of the hotel - even though it was very crowded, as hotel guests we had no trouble getting sunbeds.
- The indoor pool was a nice option, especially at night.
The not-so-good:
- The TV in one of our rooms was not functioning and a light was burned out in the bathroom - not such a big deal but surprising in a luxury hotel.
- The front desk staff seems unhappy and unwelcoming. No matter how many times we walked past the desk, no one ever greeted us or smiled.
- IMPORTANT - no matter how many reviewers claim it's a 10 minute walk into town, do not believe them! We are fast walkers and the best time we ever made was 16 minutes to Pile Gate and 20 minutes back (the way back is almost all uphill). And the sidewalk is single file and narrow for much of the trek along a busy main thoroughfare. Either plan accordingly or familiarize yourself with Uber or the bus schedule.
- When we checked out, there was a bar charge on our bill that wasn't ours. The hotel corrected it when we pointed it out, but check your bill carefully because people can write down any name/room number they want and the hotel does not verify.
Overall, the hotel was very comfortable and had many lovely aspects. However, if I was going to do it again, I would opt for a hotel that is closer to the Old City.

s Gon 28/08/2017 13:07This hotel was interesting! It's like an upside down cake. Lobby then below it the rooms and the bottom is the beach access.
Lovely rooms that are spacious with good bathrooms and amazing views. Sit in your balcony and enjoy the amazing views.
Stayed here with my elderly mother and the staff could not have been more helpful. Sweet, courteous and just lovely.
10-15 mins walk down hill to the old city but the return is a steep upward journey be ware. Suggest you take a cab for 60 kuna.
The hotel restaurant is highly recommended - the veal with truffles was outstanding.
They also have a bar area that is outdoors with love music every night that is definitely worthwhile either pre-dinner or post or even just eat there.
