Beautiful room with an equally beautiful view
amyamerzamzon 16/06/2017 22:56We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Bellevue suites. I have never stayed in such a beautiful room such as this in my life. We stayed in room 304 and it did not disappoint. The room was absolutely stunning with views of the basilica and the square. I recommend you take ear plugs as the bell tower chimes up until midnight and starts again at 7 - however if you book this place you have to expect that being that it's right on the door step. The breakfast was lovely, with something to suit everyone and the staff were polite and helpful. Could not recommend this place enough and only hope that if I return to Venice I come back here.
Charming hotel with very accommodating staff
lor8guyon 02/06/2017 22:22Steps from St. Marco Square. Easy walk to the water taxi if you wanted to take your luggage your self it's not too bad of a distance. We used a porter for 20Euro for 2 bags to get to and from. No elevator so the hotel staff brought up the bags. Breakfast with them was a pretty nice variety of food however they might not have room if you are a late sleeper as they have limited space. We ate in our room. The bathroom was very classy & newly renovated as it was clean.
4.5 Stars - Perfect Hotel just be wary of the Bell Tower
Travellers_Passageon 03/05/2017 13:19I cannot fault this hotel – very good location right on the edge of San Marco Square by the beautiful cathedral and very close to the main shopping precinct. The hotel was a little difficult to find as it is actually in a lane down the side of the main street. This hotel is stunning!! We were greeted by a nice young lady at the reception desk (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name) who was very helpful and happy and was a delight to deal with. We booked a superior room with a view of San Marco square – the room was more beautiful than the pictures show. There was a chandelier, an old fire place; the décor was inviting and warm. The amenities were nice and the room was clean. There is only one reason I cannot give this hotel 5 stars and that is because of sleep quality. Although this is not the hotel’s fault, trying to sleep is a difficult feat because there are hundreds of people outside your window at all hours and the bell tower is extremely close. The bell tower chimes every hour until midnight and starts again at 7am! I love my beauty sleep so this was not ideal – the sound I could not even block with ear plugs!! Again, not the fault of the hotel but I thought this was note-worthy – maybe there are quieter rooms? Overall, a fantastic hotel in a wonderful location – lovely staff and beautiful rooms.
Fantastic , what a location
Vincent Won 27/03/2017 11:58Quiet often when you look at hotel images online you will arrive and it looks slightly different , well in this hotel, most of the pictures are of room 304 and I can assure you they are spot on .
What you don't get from them is the absolutely amazing actual view from the balcony .
We sat for hours watching all the tourist buzzing about while we sat and could literally touch the Cathedral .
The sound of the bells are magical just fabulous.
Breakfast was excellent and staff are wonderful.
Breakfast room is extremely cosy in size , we were there for 4 days and it
Never caused us a problem.
If you haven't been to Venice you must go , an amazing city.
Well done to everyone at Bellvue suites , we had a lovely time.
The yellow building is Bellvue Suite in St Marks square .
Rude staff - No privacy - poverty of Europe
Hany Son 26/07/2016 10:30We booked with my family at San Marco Palace - All Suites where we paid in full in advance but when we arrived ,were no rooms for us. They moved us to this hotel. They showed us 2 rooms one of them with kitchenette . They advised that this room with kitchenette for family who have baby.We accepted this room change to take benefit of kitchenette. So we can boil or heat some food for baby. Rooms look at back area of restaurants , if you open the window , your room would be full of food smells and customers of this restaurant live with you. When I get up ,they tell me "Good Morning". They can eat and watch you ! Floor is covered by wood but bumpy .Walls humidity covered by Satin .We decide to boil some pasta after we caught diarrhea from "Grand Canal Restaurant" but the air suction did not work. Alarm worked and the maintance staff came shouting ask who advised us to use the kitchenette. We said the receptionist. She immediately denied and advised that she advised us only boil water.
No problem. The day after , we was prepare hot water for baby milk but again the air suction did not work but alarm did where we had to open the window to live with in front restaurant customer and see large mice walk on the walls!Suddenly ,the Lion king entered our room without knock the door, the same rude maintance man. Lion King was huge lady with high heel and lionness hair about 50 years old move like the black maid in Tom & Jerry! She looked like will hit us . She kept blame us how we dare boil water for baby ?! of course the receptionist denied completely that she told us any! She was terrible lady!
At This stage , I felt that we lost our privacy and we sold something we can not use. We used to Luxury suites in Las Vegas ,Dubai ,Thailand ,..I visited most of world and I never see something like this .There were many issues to discuss but of course not with these staff. I asked to see the GM , the GM was professional lead team of unprofessional staff. He was gentile , He offered free trip to us but my family refused and insist on cut trip in Italy and leave to Las vegas.
