Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Great location. We had a family room with a sea view balcony. Fantastic view. Noisy if you leave the door open (didn't bother us though) or shut the door and have the air con on and hear nothing. Lovely to be served breakfast which was gorgeous, in the terrace. It would have been nice to have had a kettle and pastries for breakfast. Would go again.

Well there's no accounting for how stupid us tourists can be; and we're no exception! Arrived in the middle of the night at Belmondo.... only to find out we'd booked the wrong week. The manager was exceptional. On a busy Saturday night he roamed chania to find us a room. The way he apologised you'd think it was his fault. He did find us a room (very nice - welcome drink to calm our embarrassment) and made sure we were sorted. Back at Belmondo for the next night. Great spot. More really nice staff. Couldn't recommend it more highly!

Loved the beautiful view over the harbour, the sunsets, the ample breakfast including fresh coffee on the balcony (delivered each morning), the friendliness of the staff, the proximity to the Old Town streets, shops and artisans. Only a street back from the harbour with options of taking a trip on a boat to outlying islands (recommend) or walking around the bay to swim at nearby beaches. Spoilt for choice re taverns and eateries. Also a short walk to the archaeological museum and not too far to walk to a supermarket. Absolutely loved my stay here.

Excellent location near the old port and great hospitality

This small family run hotel is nicely located within walking distance to all of Hania's amenities. It is in the heart of the old town and some of the room overlook the old port. It is clean and well run. Overall good value for money and a place where I could go back to.

We stayed 3 nights at Belmondo. It has the most fantastic location in Chaniá, situated close to everything worth seeing and doing in the old town and harbour.
Beds are, as always in Greece, a bit harder than usual. Also, the wifi didn't´t work properly in our room, but apart from that our expectations were by far exceeded by the nice ladies running the hotel. Best hotel breakfast ever, brought to your room terrace!
