A sweet, family-run Hotel
salilmalhotraon 22/07/2017 11:40Located right next to the Engelberg Station, the Hotel is very well located. The family that owns Belmont are extremely helpful, and make you feel at home. The rooms are smallish, and it would have been ideal if there was air-conditioning.

GirishPaion 04/07/2017 06:52I stayed at this hotel with my family for 2 days and the stay was quite pleasant. We got 2 rooms on the same floor to accommodate the 4 of us as each room was small in size. Would have preferred the Suite instead. The room price is very economical considering that it offers free WiFi and breakfast. The hotel owner and staff were kind and friendly. It is located close to the Engelberg rail station and also to the Cable Car station leading to Mt. Titlis. The place has a choice of very good restaurants nearby but you have to walk a good 5 minutes though! The hotel offers free parking but charges Chf 10/day for the use of small kitchen. But it is still worth it. I would recommend anyone to come and stay at this hotel.

It is not as large as its competitors, but that is a plus -- you get more personalized attention and feel more special here. The owner clearly takes pride in her establishment. She went out of her way to make our breakfast special. Our family of four stayed in the Titlis suite, and could not have asked for more -- very spacious and with two baths. Thanks! Finally, in contrast to other reviewers who complained about the train noise, we could not disagree more. The small train to Lucerne each hour was pleasant to view from our window and was not noisy at all. We slept very comfortably and quietly through the night. Also, it's a big plus for those traveling with luggage when the train station is just down the street! It's also a very easy walk from here to the Titlis cable cars.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent location
Steuart Don 09/01/2017 13:45The hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance from the town and ski lift station. The views of the mountains are spectacular and the electric train passes by outside very quietly. The room was more than adequate for an active holiday, very comfortable with plenty of space and an internet equipped television. The ski and boot dry rooms are very useful, and the wellness spa was a great "continental" experience after a long days skiing! Complimentary gluhwein, puncsh and biscuits each evening were a lovely touch. Helpful, friendly staff assisted my friend with a rental car breakdown. Would love to stay again!
