Great value with spa facilities and free transport to lift.
Alex Don 16/02/2017 12:50The Belmont has friendly reception staff and our apartment (Apartment 311) was comfortable, very quiet with a sunny aspect and great views. There was a shuttle bus which ran regularly to the lift. It is also possible to walk in 10 minutes which we did occasionally.
The apartment has a main living room including kitchenette, 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom is a good size with a balcony and lovely views. The second bedroom is small but was absolutely adequate as we didn't spend much time in there. (We were a party of 2 couples). There was also a sofa bed in the living room so could have accommodated 5 if needed. There was a second balcony off the living room and large windows from where you could also enjoy the view.
We used the kitchenette for breakfast only as there were lots of places to eat out nearby.
There was plenty of hot water, heating and a good shower. It also had a great hairdryer.
Belmont has a great sauna, steam room and large swimming pool. Had a fantastic massage for about £25.
Great value accommodation.
Ok not a 4 star.
Kevinabrown7on 29/01/2017 20:24Nice looking apartments but disappointed as had no shower door after looked like it's been ripped off. Water going everywhere. Had no cereal bowls or saucepans! Cleaner very lazy as not keeping place clean!
Not so satisfying
Vukan Don 11/09/2016 16:28We came here in ski season and we stayed for six days. The location is pretty good, it takes you about ten minutes to get to the gondola, there were also the busses from the hotel every half an hour. The room was about average size for four persons. The pool and the bar in the hotel were nice. However, electric burner in our room wasn't working and we asked the staff twice to fix it and both times they said they had fixed it, but the burner still wasn't working, so we weren't able to cook anything for entire trip. Also, there wasn't any pot or pen or anything like that in the room (it didn't affect us because we couldn't cook anyway). Wifi at the reception wasn't that good, sometimes we had problems to connect in busy hours. The biggest problem was the fact that the hotel doesn't have a proper ski room. I used to have my own locker with my own key. However, the hotel could only provide us with a small room next to the entry of the hotel where all the residents keep their skis and everybody has acces, so we had to keep our skis in our room and climb them up and down to the third floor every day.
Very basic.
Nadine Mon 25/04/2016 19:10Stayed here in January, probably OK for young groups wanting a very basic place to stay who aren't too bothered about comfort.
We arrived late at night, the lift wouldn't work properly so we had to carry 3 large cases and 2 tired children up to the 4th floor.
The bin in the room was overflowing with rubbish (crusty yoghurt pots etc)into the cupboard, the self catering room had 1 cup 1 plate a few glasses and no cereal bowls. I asked 3 times for this to be rectified but it never was, apart from a couple of chipped cups that were given to us from another room.
The sheets were clean but stained, the cover on the bed had a smiley face drawn on it and there were not enough towels or a bath mat, ( we did get these the following day though).
The TV was really old and the picture was so bad, so not an option for the children to relax and watch TV after a days skiing.
Although the above aren't anything to ruin a holiday, it isn't very nice to walk into a room after a long journey To find the previous occupants rubbish and food waste in the bin etc.
Think this hotel is more suited to travellers who want a basic room with minimal facilities.
Excellent!
JN_MH6on 18/03/2016 10:48Stayed at the Belmont hotel for Horizon Festival this year with 4 others and we were all so impressed with this aparthotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor with two balconys that had mountain views, our bedrooms and room was cleaned daily and stocked with fresh towels, the maids even cleaned our dishes! The entire hotel is well kept, warm and had endless hot water in a modern and clean bathroom. Most impressive of all was Ismail at reception, who was always smiling dispite the hotel being very busy with festival goers, willing to help us with anything and overall a very nice guy. Price was fantastic for the week, location is 10 mins walk to gondola and main street and there's a supermarket just outside. 10/10!
