This fantastic hotel sits on an elevated position above Wengen village centre. It is an easy five minute walk, either along the main street or across the village meadow to reach the railway station. This was my fifth time staying in the hotel and I prefer to pay a little extra to stay in the south facing rooms on the top, 5th floor, as they have the best views from the balcony across the village, the Jungfrau mountains and even down into the Lauterbrunnen valley. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the bed is very comfortable. The food served in the restaurant is superb, both at breakfast and in the buffet style evening meal. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Wengen and can't wait to return.

Perfect holiday place with family. This hotel has got a beautiful yet classic look. It's situated just a 5 minutes walk away from the main station of beautifull car-free Wengen town. Reception and entire hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, which made our stay very relaxed and comfortable. Keep it up and wish to see you all soon :)

Another wonderful holiday

The hotel is situated a few minutes away from the main village centre. There are marvellous views from the south facing rooms across the village and down into the Lauterbrunnen valley. Every member of the Hotel Staff are extremely friendly and make you feel very welcome from the moment you walk through the door. The buffet breakfast is excellent as is the 4 course buffet evening meal. The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed with a television, kettle and hairdryer. The beds are comfortable and the Hotel is extremely clean and well run. This was my 11th consecutive visit to the Belvedere, I would not stay anywhere else. The hotel cannot be praised enough.

Our family stayed here for 4 nights and it was so comfortable, friendly, safe and included a fantastic breakfast. The staff was great and welcoming from the front door through the restaurant and bell hop.

This was our first time to Wengen. Hotel was very pretty and lots of character. Beds were sooooo comfortable and we lined the down comforters and pillows!!

Had some mix up about the room. I booked with Expedia and I thought I had specifically booked the room with Jungfrau view and private balcony (which it said on Expedia.). I wasn't given that room but was put in a room with a common balcony, no Jungfrau view. They said that I had gotten the "room I booked." I was confused, because I thought I booked a room with private balcony. They did put us in one after I asked, and it was very nice.

It's a bit far from the train, so coming in late at night with luggage or after hiking, be aware that it's another walk. They will come get you from and take you to the train station. Be aware that the hotel completely closes down at 9 pm. I was trying to work and had problems with wifi, and the person answering the phone was at a different hotel and didn't know about the wifi.

Overall, very lovely hotel. I liked Wengen, but honestly would probably stay in Lauterbrunnen next time. It's more centrally located and would be easier to go up to Schilthorn, Interlaken etc. It also had more restaurant choices. Also one less train trip with luggage when you are coming in from another place.
