Excelant Hotel, (but ony if your Russian is good)

Hi there, will I suppose the 3 stars are a little unfair, but in truth, I had better results in finding people that understood English better just by asking in the street, and whilst there was one lovely lady that had excellent command of my language, when she was not on Duty i had Taxi's arrive that I had not booked and a number of interesting events, including being followed and stared at by security to going to use the pool, just followed me in to the changing room and stood staring. In truth the rooms were clan, and the food was good, the beer was excellent, but all was tainted by lack of communications, I travel a lot and usually if you book a nice and classy hotel, then the management ensure at least on person on duty has good English, Alas this was not the case.

So If you speak Russian, but if you speak English, then inquire about the price of Taxi's at your peril as they arrive 15 min later, and yes at three times the local rate, but this I was not complaining about. you then try explaining you did not order the taxi, easier to go for a drive to town, and save the discussion.

We grabbed affordable rates on expedia and had a great time. It was pretty easy to spot the turn-off and get to the hotel, although it's definitely not centrally located. I mostly spoke to the staff in Russian, but many did speak English. The hotel felt more European or American than most Russian hotels. The bed was super comfortable and all the little amenities were nicer than average, , although I did find it odd that there wasn't a tea kettle in the room. The pool and sauna were simply wonderful. The incredible buffet breakfast was the best part.

Hotel Berezka

We stayed in Berezka hotel for 2 days in February 2014. I was really surprised. The place is very comfortable, rooms are spacious, food is delicious, staff is very attentive. Their fitness centre and especially the swimming pool is really one of the best I have ever seen.
I would highly recommend all the foreigners this hotel.

Excellent Hotel

This is an excellent hotel. It is slightly isolated but it is clean, spacious and the restaurant is good. The only negative point is the wifi is very intermittent sometimes it works sometimes not. Otherwise there are no real issues with this hotel.
