Wow!
on 12/07/2017 21:35I stayed the previous night in a hotel across from the spa. The view, the noise level and the air is much better at Hotel Bergfrieden than hotels below on the street. The room was simple and dated, but it is obvious with the pressed linens and the astute pillow that care and attention has been given and most importantly, the room was 'German clean' - top of the line in my opinion - and well worth the money. The breakfast room is sunny and inviting. Breakfast was typical German style with all of the goodies including fresh seasonal fruits. I didn't have to look or ask for coffee. Before I could get to my table I was asked if I would like coffee.
The hotel is family run and they are very nice and hardworking people. The cleaning staff was thorough and also nice. I would definitely stay here again.
Great Hotel in Bad Wildbad
Edgar Son 10/10/2016 16:26The hotel is central located adjacent to Vital Therme (Spa) less then 4 minutes walk from the town center. Room feels a bit old, but so clean and roomy with a nice balcony over looking the entire valley. Staff is extremely nice and professional. Booked on H/B. From the spread on the breakfast buffet to the dinner served, is really good, fresh and delicious. One is really spoiled because with the booking one get's free access to Vital Therme (Spa), free access to all trains and buses in the Black Forest, discount of the Sommer Berg Bahn and lot's more. If you are in need for thermal baths, swimming outdoor in the cold in warm water, go for plenty of walks, well marked or having a good meal, I highly recommend to book in Hotel Bergfrieden.
Awesome hotel, amazing view
Max von 23/07/2016 12:20Stayed here for One night. Planning on coming back. Everything was Just perfect: the room, the view from the balcony, the atmosphere, the cute little town. 100€ for one night two persons. Totally worth it. Pokestops available from room. 10 out of 10 would stay again!
Good value for money
deborah050on 21/07/2016 11:59This hotel had clean room which had obviously been renovated but the balcony was not included in this. The paint was flaking and there were very old plastic chairs that had seen better days. Nice view and staff were helpful, when you could find them! Not good for the english traveller as all the instruction in the room were in German ( I know we should learn the language) but even with google translate it took ages to read anything. Most places we visited in Germany had an english version of everything.

Lovely views over the valley from the rooms, with a balcony. nice breakfast. quiet. rooms recently renovated, with enough space. altogether very good value for the price they charge. very central yet one already feels in the middle of nature, with the forest so near.
