Great hotel for a holiday with children, and very good food too

This is a great hotel for a holiday with children. There are many families with children in the hotel (mainly German and Dutch, some Swiss and Austrian too), and the hotel has several facilities for children to play, hence they will never be bored.
The area around Söll is anyway very nice and good for a family holiday in the Alps region.
The hotel offers also very good/tasty dinner (we enjoyed it a lot). Although the service was sometimes very slow!

A few remarks after one week stay in Berghof Hotel. In our apartment we had an old-type electric hob without any protection which is very dangerous for children. My 2 yo grandson turned on the hob and it almost got to fire and skin burns. After pointing out the danger, young arrogant owner answered "look after your kid then". He didn't even thought for a second that in a 4-star hotel the hob should be inductive or at least somehow protected with additional switch how the rules say or just lower the standards of a hotel to 1-star and advertise it as a dangerous for children. Food was very humble relatively to the price. Pros are: cleanliness and very nice staff from neighboring countries.

Ski Week

We stayed here for one week skiing trip on full board. The staff are great very welcoming and friendly, the spa area is fantastic, the bar area is spacious and very nice area to sit off having a drink or playing cards, Our room was very comfortable and food was good, buffet breakfast had a great choice which set us up nicely for the day. The last bus out of town was 16:45 which was far too early. The hotel is out of town about 7km so it's not walking distance it cost €8 in a taxi.

We have stayed here many times in the past and always come back to the warm welcome, attention to details, delicious food, impeccable taste and stunning location.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel with an outstanding spa for superb relaxation opportunities to anyone.
Its especially child friendly with a vast array of activities organised or otherwise, petting animals, natural swimming, and play equipment.
All round amazing place.

Great place but away from the action

Stayed here with friends and found it to be a bright modern hotel with bags of character.
Staff are very helpful and friendly'
Food was good with a nice salad buffet.
Main course could have been a larger portion.
Rooms are large and clean.
One complaint is when a minibus taxi was ordered the hotel offered to take us into town rather than use a taxi. Assumed it was a courtesy bus - wrong.
Cost varied from 10 to 12 euros each way.
Later in our stay I got a minibus back and was told the taxi company charge a set fee of only 8 euros.
If you like a quiet hotel away from town, then this is the place.
If you like to be nearer the town and a choice of bars and more nightlife, then choose elsewhere.
