Very good value for money
Leonard Lon 26/08/2017 22:42Located in a posh area of (former West) Berlin, the Plaza is a good choice if you are looking for affordable accommodation and safe, private parking. The room was decent, however the bed was very small and offered poor sleeping comfort. The only real downside was the slow and unreliable WiFi connection.
Bog standard hotel in an upscale area
trevostaron 27/07/2017 11:21Stayed here in March during ITB. The rates were very reasonable and the area is nice with a lot of high-end shops (although a bit of a boring part of Berlin to be in). The hotel itself is just your bog standard old-school European city hotel, rather simple and plain. This is fine as it is what I was expecting anyway, especially for the rates I knew what I was in for. The hotel is clean, but it could really do with renovation for the rooms as it's pretty dated. Breakfast is ok, standard fare of cold cuts, cheeses, breads, salads, etc. There is a cafe right next door, but I would not recommend it for breakfast either if you are looking for a hearty breakfast. Nothing bad during my stay, but nothing to write home about either, hence my saying bog standard.
Very rundown hotel . Reception area looks fine but double room very small and stuffy. Carpet very old and stained.
kaycheeverson 19/07/2017 22:56Very bad room and very deceiving when you go into reception. Staff ok. Stair carpet went to only the 1st floor then stones steps. Shocking. Paint work in room dreadful many stains and marks. Will never go again . Had drinks there, very expensive.
Great location, conditions of room needs revamp
Sean_Lamon 11/06/2017 15:06Central location, close to restaurants and shops and a supermarket nearby. The condition of rooms however need urgent improvement, carpets are heavily stained and sagging mattress. Friendly staff at the reception.
Nice room, clean hotel, great location
Kathryn Bon 06/06/2017 23:12This was a great location for visiting Berlin and seeing the city. Steps from the buses and blocks from trains and metros. The room itself was nice and clean, and the staff was friendly. Great for single travelers on the budget but who don't want a dorm-style hostel. Supermarket is nearby. My two criticisms would be the noise-- my room was on the first floor and faced the back. With no a/c it was a bit warm so I had the window and patio door open. Even with them closed, the noise from the parking lot at 6 am was unbearable. Second, wifi barely worked and when I asked about it the staff basically told me it works and it must be my device (it was not. I had multiple devices and none could find the wifi). Small gripes, though. Would recommend but suggest requesting a room not facing the back or on a higher floor.
