We stayed at the Bernerhof Inn for a weekend getaway and to ride the cog rail up Mount Washington. We had a wonderful weekend. I searched to find the perfect B&B, and luckily, I found it. Roberta and Carla are the mother daughter innkeeper team. Both are super people. Those two work hard and make you feel like family the entire stay. I can’t say enough great things about either one of them.

The Inn is exactly as pictured in all the reviews. Very quaint and clean. The breakfast was amazing both mornings. Each morning starts off with delicious yogurt with fruit and homemade granola. We could have stopped there each day, but… we were on vacation! Breakfast itself was amazing! Fresh muffins out in the morning with your coffee as well. Homemade (I’m sure) and delicious.

Dinner at the Inn was also excellent. The food was terrific. What was even more terrific was the service you get with the waitress/bartender, Scamp. She is a find for sure! What a great personality and full of local information and things to do. We would come back to stay at the Inn just to see Scamp!

I can’t end this review without mentioning the desserts we had after dinner. The first night we ate at the Inn we had strawberry rhubarb pie and a chocolate fudge brownie. Seriously, they were both amazing! However, the second night we chose to eat outside of the Inn (we honestly wish we would have eaten at the Inn again in retrospect) but we asked if there was any strawberry rhubarb pie left. Scamp said there was… and she would make sure to save us some if we came back for dessert. She was good on her word and had a couple of pieces for us. It was just as delicious as the first night. The homemade pie was superb… the homemade crust was out of this world!

Roberta, Carla and Scamp… thank you all for a wonderful weekend. We will be back!

What a great experience it was to stay at this place.! We were overwhelmed by the fantastic rooms and the delicious food. The innkeepers Roberta and Carla has really made this place a true gem.
Do yourself a favour and go.!

Everything at the Bernerhof was wonderful! Beautiful rooms and such a cozy atmosphere. We were very impressed with the food in their pub. Everything was done so well from the rooms to the food down to all-day tea and coffee and afternoon baked goods. The staff was wonderful! A perfect place for a getaway weekend in the quiet and serene White Mountains area of NH. We'll certainly be returning.

My husband and I stayed at the Bernerhof last weekend and it was wonderful all around. The staff were sweet, accommodating, and approachable and the food (we had dinner once and breakfast twice) was fabulous. I have stayed at other B&B's previously, and what I like about Bernerhof is that it was cozy and inviting, but you did not feel like you were sharing the "house" with others (plus, it was super clean!!). The layout is perfect for privacy. We stayed in the Bretton Woods room and it was awesome. Although it was close to the kitchen you could not hear much noise at all and the bathroom, whirlpool tub, king sized bed, fireplace and private porch made it so you felt like you were in your own little sanctuary. The afternoon snacks and constant flow of coffee and tea was perfect and on top of that they have a bar right in their dining room. Scamp, the bartender and server was beyond friendly (really, I can't say enough good things about her) and was a wonderful resource for daily excursions. The innkeepers Roberta and her daughter Carla were both very sweet- and truly, the food was delicious and diverse! The inn is located in a great spot surrounded by much to do. There are other great places to eat nearby (although, I would have been content with never leaving the inn) and plenty of activities too. We plan to return in the fall or winter to visit again and would highly recommend the inn for families or couples looking to slow down and enjoy the beauty of NH!

At Bernerhof no two rooms are a like, it's not a cookie-cutter like you would get at a resort or hotel. The floor was uneven in the room, but the two person whirpool tub with rainfall shower more than made up for it. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. The staff were sweet and funny. It was a rainy weekend, but my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
