excellent hotel and good value for money
Jolanyon 02/08/2017 11:58Stayed two nights at this hotel. It is not the most modern or fashionable hotel but a small family hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are basic but everything works and the beds are good, the bed linnen is lovely cotton. Free tea in the lobby area and very helpful staff. The location is absolutely great, near the trainstation and only 6 minutes from the airport. It is a little noisy at night with the road but you can ask for a room at the back. I was in Geneva for meetings and this hotel worked fine for me.
Decent hotel for travelers on a budget

The rooms are basic, they have all necessities but you can see that the building is old and not always well-maintained. The bathroom was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly - both for checking-in, and for helping us with several inquiries. The location is convenient for those arriving/leaving by train, but the proximity to the station and main roads caused for an early wakeup due to the noise.

Andy Bon 27/07/2017 18:49This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms are shabby beyond belief, all the doors and fixtures look they have been deliberately battered and worn. Everything in the room is stained. There is one light, just above the bed, covered by a rusty steel grate. The room is insanely hot, the only way I got any sleep was to put a fan blowing on full power into my face all night! The bed was uncomfortable and the giant, thin pillow unfathomable.The only redeeming feature was the thick windows, which kept out the noise of central Geneva. Avoid this place if you have any self respect.

N Gon 23/07/2017 16:58Hotel bernina is an awful hotel. We pay 150€. in a city that is suppose all works fine. Personalnot very nice. Rooms are very old and smell badly. Carpet ( dirty carpet) everywhere. Broken furniture and old fashion. It is like a hotel from the 50's and never take care again. For that price go to any other place
Great staff great location
Irmak44on 04/07/2017 22:09Bernina is located just across the main train station "cornavin". It is incredibly easy to travel from the airport to the hotel (it takes for about 10mins). Geneva is extremely expensive but it gives the chance to travel for free if you are a visitor. Hotel Bernina is also expensive in my opinion in comparison with other european hotels. The hotel is old, needs some serious renovation. The carpet in my room for example smelt really bad especially when the windows were shut.But the location is really good and the hotel staff are really really nice (especially Joao). I really felt welcome and at home. (They were so hospitable that I even forgot the jerk at the airport (on my way back home) who threw my cosmetics to the garbage without any pity saying that they were more than 100cc !) I also liked my room at the 6th floor with a view of the gare cornavin. I am not so sure though if other rooms would be as comfortable for me. Overall a nice stay. Thank you hotel Bernina
