Perfect location
SalopCalon 14/07/2017 18:00At first I was a little unsure of it's location but these reservations were unfounded and premature. Had a little difficulty in getting close to the hotel as I had arrived by car but found space in a near by square. The hotel has it's own underground car park at a good rate, is very close to the Gambetta metro stop (metres away) and is just across the road from a fantastic bakery. Just a couple of minutes walk from a market and a square lined with fantastic coffee shops and cafes.
My only downside was really that in the evenings, as people return from the city centre via the metro, it can become loud outside.
Cheap and cheerful
TeamHFon 20/03/2017 18:16A group of 7 of us stayed and it was ideal for us. A stones throw from the metro station and with regular trains you are not far away from the city centre.
Set in a residential area there is plenty of bars and a large indoor market nearby and then on a Sunday there is a huge outdoor market in the square.
Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Very reasonable prices.
A nice little hotel
AngelaMathewon 30/12/2016 19:25Stayed here in November 2016 as a solo traveler. Located very very close to the metro station. They have neat rooms and super fast wi-fi. Breakfast buffet is average. And wish the staff could be more helpful.
Getting better but not at its BEST
chiara_orgon 01/11/2016 12:32I have been there twice, first experience was terrible, stinky small room, window facing a super noisy and always illuminated metro station. Second experience was way better, room were renovated because of the european cup so better style and cleaning. Also my room was facing the square and was quiet and nice.They really improved the room while breakfast and other services are still a bit poor. Good price quality balance!
Good value and easy to get to city centre
shamrocker74on 04/08/2016 14:07I stayed here during EURO 2016 as a solo traveller. The main benefits of this hotel are value for money and ease of access to the metro line which is directly beside the hotel. You can get to the city centre and surrounding stations within 5 to 10 minutes.
I think trains run until about 12.30am
The immediate vicinity has very little to offer but does have a good supermarket beside the hotel. The single room I had was basic and small but spotlessly clean and was very modern. The bathroom was good too. Good soundproofing with the windows also as the small square around the escalators to the metro can be quite noisey.
I can't find fault with the hotel except for the agressive manager on the day of checkout who banged on my door twice to inform me I had 5 minutes to leave the room as checkout was at 11am. I don't understand the need for this agression as I was in the process of packing and actually left the room just before 11am. It was totally unnecessary.
