Good location but ....
Jacqueline Eon 09/02/2017 10:15On arrival there wasn't anyone at the hotel - it was closed with a note on the door stating it would be open an hour later. After driving 250 miles it wasn't the best start.
Once we were able to get in, there were two youths sat in reception with bare feet on the table. The room was very clean and the bathroom amazing! However, while we were sat in our room a man tried the door and walked in! He then said "sorry I wanted the next room" which was actually my sister-in-laws room. He went along the corridor trying all the doors looking for an empty room. We felt fairly uncomfortable with this as you can imagine. It advertises as pet friendly but they aren't allowed in the restaurant. We walked to a local restaurant to eat instead.
Good value stop over on way back from Alps
skingmaryon 03/03/2016 18:57Clean rooms, friendly staff, lovely breakfast and most important very good value for money. We booked a double and a single room - they were next door to one another and both had very good showers with plentiful hot water.
Also easy to find from motorway and some very good restaurants locally for supper.
Nice stopover
JerseyBenpon 19/09/2015 20:17Staff are fine but speak little English, the pool is small and nice but cold, the location is ideal been in walking distance of supermarket and restaraunts, the rooms are tiny so not for people who need space, wifi was sometimes working but not consistent
Good hotel.
ariadne6on 21/06/2015 18:07It's a nice, modest little hotel. The room was comfortable and the free wi-fi worked fine, as did the (needed) air conditioner. The proprietor doesn't really speak any English, but is very helpful. (Best if you do actually speak French!) The breakfast was excellent. We didn't dine there in the evening, although we could have and indeed the aromas coming from the restaurant smelt very appetising when we went out, (but we'd already booked somewhere else.) The hotel is not near enough to the town to walk too and we took some time to find it, it being in a more industrial area. Was very handy for the motorway south though on the Route du Soleil the next morning.
The proprietor made us tea and coffee in the lounge area, the tea sachets being served in a big attractive wooden box.
Ideal stopover hotel
Richjson 24/08/2014 09:16We have stayed here previous years and returned again this year, we stopped on the way down to the south of France and again on return journey, excellent value, good breakfast, good location, handy location for local supermarket and close enough to the centre for a local meal in the evening, highly recommended.
